Thai Tourist Police Urge Progress in Missing Young Russian Siblings Case After Motorcycle Found Dismantled and Buried Near Pattaya
Pattaya- Thai authorities are intensifying efforts to resolve the mysterious disappearance of two young Russian siblings that has drawn widespread public attention. The Tourist Police Command held an urgent progress meeting last night and is coordinating closely with the Russian Embassy in Thailand to locate the missing pair and reinforce tourist and expat safety.
On the evening of July 29th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., Police Major General Phongsiam Meehanthong, Deputy Commander of the Tourist Police, chaired a follow-up meeting on the case of Ms. Diana Nazimova, 22, and Mr. Roman Nazimova, 17, both Russian nationals who had lived in Pattaya with their mother. The siblings left their accommodation on a motorcycle around 4:00 a.m. on July 26th, 2026, and have not been heard from since.

Attending the meeting were tourist police and investigators, including Police Lieutenant Colonel Prapda Suksunthree of Tourist Police Division 4, Police Lieutenant Colonel Aphichat Charurak, Police Lieutenant Colonel Somchanok Chaiprasertsakul, and other officers from the investigation and case-resolution teams. Participants reviewed available information and set out measures to accelerate the probe.
A major development came on July 29th when investigators discovered the missing pair’s motorcycle. It had been dismantled and buried in the ground within the jurisdiction of Huai Yai Police Station. Authorities described the find as important evidence that could help unravel the case. Officers are now collecting further evidence and expanding their inquiries.

Police Major General Phongsiam Meehanthong said the Tourist Police Command continues close coordination with representatives of the Russian Embassy in Thailand. He directed all units to redouble efforts to locate the two missing individuals as quickly as possible in order to clarify the circumstances and maintain confidence in the safety of tourists and expats visiting and staying in Thailand.
While the investigation is advancing step by step, tourist police have not officially released deeper details, citing the risk of compromising the case. Officers remain focused on tracking the missing siblings and any individuals who may be connected so that legal action can follow. Hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement continue to search the forest where the bike was found for further clues and evidence.
