Pattaya Mayor Leads Merit-Making Ceremony for His Royal Majesty the King’s Birthday

PATTAYA, July 28th, 2026

Pattaya City Mayor Poramese Ngamphichet led senior city administrators, members of the Pattaya City Council, and heads of municipal government departments in a morning merit-making ceremony on Tuesday to mark the birthday of His Royal Majesty the King.

The event began at 7:00 a.m. with the offering of rice and dry food to 75 Buddhist monks and novices. The alms-giving was dedicated as a royal act of merit in celebration of His Royal Majesty’s birthday on July 28th, 2026.

Banglamung District Chief Anusak Phiriyamon served as the chairman of the ceremony. Officials from government agencies, state enterprises, and representatives from both the public and private sectors joined local residents in the event, which was attended in large numbers.

Following the religious ceremony, participants took part in an oath-taking ceremony. Civil servants pledged to serve as good officials and as a force for the nation, expressing gratitude for His Royal Majesty’s boundless kindness.

Later in the evening, activities are scheduled to continue from 5:30 p.m. These will include the offering of royal homage items and floral tributes, a candle-lighting ceremony to wish His Royal Majesty well, and volunteer community service activities.
