Brad Pitt’s daughter Vivienne seeks major name change

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, has reportedly taken legal steps to remove “Pitt” from her surname. If approved, the 18-year-old will officially be known as Vivienne Marcheline Jolie, marking another significant change within the famous family. According to reports, Vivienne filed a petition in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, requesting the legal name change. In the court documents, she cited “personal” reasons for the request. A hearing on the petition has been scheduled for November 2. Although the legal filing has now come to light, many fans had already noticed a similar change last year. In 2024, Vivienne was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the Broadway production The Outsiders, where she worked alongside her mother, Angelina Jolie. At the time, the credit sparked speculation that she had chosen to distance herself from the “Pitt” surname. Vivienne is not the first of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s children to make such a decision. Her older sister, Shiloh, legally dropped “Pitt” from her surname in 2024 after turning 18. Meanwhile, Zahara and Maddox have also publicly used the Jolie surname in various settings, reflecting similar personal choices regarding their names. The reported decision has once again drawn attention to the long-running family dynamics following Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s highly publicized split. The Hollywood stars separated in 2016 after two years of marriage, ending one of the entertainment industry’s most talked-about relationships. Their divorce was finalized in late 2024 after years of legal proceedings. Despite the conclusion of their divorce, the former couple remain involved in an ongoing legal dispute over Château Miraval, the French winery they once jointly owned. The property has been at the center of a lengthy legal battle, keeping the former spouses connected through court proceedings. Following similar reports involving the couple’s children, a source close to Brad Pitt previously described the situation as heartbreaking, suggesting it was difficult to watch the growing distance between the actor and some of his children. However, neither Brad Pitt nor Vivienne has publicly commented on the latest legal filing. Angelina Jolie has often spoken about encouraging her children to embrace their individuality. Over the years, she has emphasized that each of her children has a unique personality and that her role as a parent is to support them as they discover who they are. She has previously shared that watching them grow into independent individuals has been one of the most rewarding parts of motherhood. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share six children. Their family includes three adopted children—Maddox, Pax, and Zahara—and three biological children—Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. As their children have grown into adulthood, several have chosen to shape their own identities in different ways, including making personal decisions about their names. Vivienne’s petition represents the latest chapter in the evolving story of one of Hollywood’s most well-known families, as the next generation continues to make choices that reflect their own identities and personal journeys.

Vikrant Massey explains why exes should stay in past

Actor Vikrant Massey has spoken candidly about his marriage to wife Sheetal Thakur, offering a glimpse into the trust and honesty that define their relationship. The actor also shared his personal opinion on past relationships, saying he does not believe in maintaining friendships with former partners. During a recent conversation, Vikrant explained that he and Sheetal have always been transparent with each other about their past. According to the actor, openness is an important part of any strong relationship, and hiding significant aspects of one’s romantic history can create unnecessary doubts. He said that neither he nor Sheetal ever felt the need to keep their previous relationships a secret. In his view, couples who avoid acknowledging a serious relationship that lasted for several years may be sending the wrong message. Vikrant believes that if two people have shared a meaningful part of their lives together, there should be no reason to pretend that chapter never existed. Sharing his thoughts further, the 12th Fail star said that relationships should not remain hidden from close friends and family, especially if they were long-term commitments. He added that trying to avoid giving a relationship a label or deliberately concealing it often appears suspicious. For him, honesty and acceptance of the past are essential ingredients for building trust in the present. Vikrant and Sheetal first met in 2015 through a mutual friend. Over time, their friendship grew stronger, and the pair eventually fell in love. Their relationship attracted attention during the filming of the web series Broken But Beautiful in 2018, when dating rumours surrounding the two began making headlines. After several years together, the couple officially registered their marriage on February 14, 2022. A few days later, on February 18, they celebrated their union with a traditional wedding ceremony attended by family members and close friends. Their family expanded in February 2024 with the arrival of their baby boy. Following the birth of his son, Vikrant announced that he would take a break from acting to focus on spending quality time with his family. His decision was appreciated by many fans, who praised the actor for prioritising fatherhood during an important phase of his child’s life. On the professional front, Vikrant was most recently seen in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, where he starred opposite Shanaya Kapoor. He also made a special cameo appearance in Shahid Kapoor’s O Romeo. Looking ahead, the actor has a busy schedule with several exciting projects lined up. He is preparing for the release of Musafir Cafe, which is set to premiere on Netflix on July 24. In addition, Vikrant will also be seen in Yaar Jigri and Talaakhon, adding to an already impressive lineup of upcoming films. According to the latest industry buzz, director Anees Bazmee is also expected to return to helm the upcoming film. Bazmee successfully directed both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, playing a key role in reviving the franchise with a fresh storyline while maintaining its signature mix of horror and comedy. Insiders claim that discussions regarding the project are currently underway, with the production team reportedly working on finalising agreements. NewJeans’ fourth anniversary comeback sparks fan concern

K-pop girl group NewJeans celebrated their fourth debut anniversary by releasing new promotional content, raising speculation about a possible four-member comeback after nearly two years away from the music scene. At midnight on July 22 (KST), the group unveiled a series of summer-themed videos and photos under the title “2026 Summer of NewJeans.” The newly released content featured Hanni, Haerin, Minji and Hyein, marking the group’s first official update together in a long time. The release also confirmed Minji’s return to group activities following months of uncertainty. However, Danielle was absent from the anniversary content after officially leaving the agency at the end of 2025. The cheerful summer concept has led many fans to believe that NewJeans may finally be preparing for a long-awaited musical comeback. Although no official announcement about a new album or single has been made, the timing of the promotional campaign has fuelled excitement across social media. Despite the anticipation surrounding the group’s return, the new photos and videos also sparked mixed reactions among fans. While many welcomed seeing the members together again, others expressed concern over their appearance and questioned whether the group was genuinely happy. Several fans claimed that the members looked unhappy in the promotional images, with some describing the content as rushed and lacking the group’s usual energy. Social media users shared comments suggesting the members appeared exhausted, while others said the videos did not reflect the bright and lively image NewJeans had been known for since their debut. The group’s activities have remained uncertain since the highly publicised legal dispute involving their agency, ADOR, and its former CEO Min Hee-jin. The conflict dominated headlines throughout 2025 and significantly affected NewJeans’ career, forcing the members to pause group promotions for an extended period. A major legal development came when a Seoul court ruled that the members’ exclusive contracts with ADOR remained legally valid. Following the ruling, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein gradually resumed activities with the agency, while discussions regarding Minji’s future also progressed positively before her eventual return. Danielle, however, officially ended her contract with the company and continues to face an ongoing legal dispute related to damages claimed by the agency. Soon after NewJeans released their anniversary content, Danielle shared a new post on Instagram that quickly attracted widespread attention. Alongside a selfie, she wrote an uplifting message about hope, resilience and staying grateful even during difficult times. Fans also noticed that Danielle was wearing a cap with the word “REVENGE” printed across it. The detail immediately sparked speculation online, with many wondering whether the choice of clothing carried a hidden message related to her former agency or the ongoing legal battle. However, Danielle has not commented on the meaning behind the cap, and there is no confirmation that it was intended as a reference to the dispute. As NewJeans celebrate four years since their debut, fans remain divided between excitement over the possibility of new music and concern about the challenges the members have faced. Until an official comeback announcement is made, speculation surrounding the group’s future is likely to continue.

Avengers: Doomsday opens strong with $16.5 million in presales

Doomsday has kicked off its theatrical journey with remarkable momentum, generating an estimated $16.5 million in advance ticket sales on its first day. The impressive start highlights the enormous excitement surrounding Marvel Studios’ next superhero epic and signals strong audience interest months before its December release. The studio opened ticket bookings alongside the launch of the film’s first official trailer, giving fans a glimpse of the highly anticipated story. The preview hints at an unprecedented alliance between the Avengers and the X-Men as they prepare to face one of Marvel’s most dangerous villains, Doctor Doom. The first-day ticket sales are particularly significant because bookings were initially limited to premium-format screenings in around 1,000 cinemas across North America. Despite the restricted availability, demand proved exceptionally strong, with several premium showings for the opening days selling out within hours. Avengers: Doomsday is set for a much wider release on December 18, expanding to more than 4,000 theaters across North America. Cinema operators are reportedly increasing the number of showtimes throughout the Christmas holiday period to accommodate the growing demand from moviegoers eager to secure opening-week tickets. One notable aspect of the advance sales is that IMAX screenings were not included, as those screens are expected to remain dedicated to Dune: Part III following its release. To strengthen the appeal of premium movie experiences, Marvel has also introduced Infinity Vision, a certification for theaters that meet specific technical standards for enhanced picture and sound quality. Industry expectations for Avengers: Doomsday continue to rise following its impressive ticket presales. Early figures suggest that the film’s first-day advance bookings have significantly outpaced those of Deadpool & Wolverine, one of 2024’s biggest box office successes. That film opened to more than $200 million domestically before surpassing $1.3 billion in worldwide earnings. While the early sales indicate an enormous opening, it remains to be seen how the film will perform throughout the competitive holiday season. December releases often benefit from extended theatrical runs, but they also face strong competition from other major titles. Marvel’s last major crossover event, Avengers: Endgame, became a global phenomenon in 2019, breaking numerous box office records and concluding the Infinity Saga. Since then, the studio has experienced mixed results at the box office, although ensemble-driven productions have consistently delivered the strongest performances. Recent hits such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine demonstrated that audiences continue to embrace large-scale crossover stories featuring beloved Marvel characters. Avengers: Doomsday aims to build on that success by bringing together some of the franchise’s most iconic heroes alongside fan-favorite X-Men characters. Adding further excitement is its simultaneous release with Dune: Part III, creating one of the most anticipated box office clashes in recent years. The matchup has already generated widespread discussion among movie fans, with many predicting one of the biggest theatrical weekends in cinema history. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday marks the 39th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story features Robert Downey Jr. in the surprising role of Doctor Doom as multiple universes collide, setting the stage for the franchise’s next major chapter and paving the way for Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for release in 2027.

Brown shared her grief through an emotional message on her Instagram Stories, expressing how deeply the loss had affected her. “I’m so devastated to hear this. You will be deeply missed, Kaylee,” the Enola Holmes star wrote alongside a photo of Hottle from one of their scenes in Godzilla vs. Kong. Actress Rebecca Hall, who played Dr. Ilene Andrews in the MonsterVerse films, also honoured the late actress with a touching tribute. “Devastated to hear this news. My heart goes out to your family. You will be missed, Kaylee,” Hall wrote, remembering the young performer who shared several memorable moments with her on screen. According to multiple reports, Kaylee Hottle died in a single-vehicle car accident in Ijamsville, Maryland, on July 21, 2026. She was just 18 years old. Born into a deaf family and a native user of American Sign Language (ASL), Hottle quickly became an inspiration for many after making her acting debut in the 2021 blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong. She portrayed Jia, a deaf orphan from the Iwi tribe who formed a unique and emotional bond with Kong. Her heartfelt performance was widely praised for bringing warmth and authenticity to the film, making Jia one of the franchise’s most beloved new characters. Hottle later returned to reprise the role in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The sequel further explored Jia’s relationship with her adoptive mother, Dr. Ilene Andrews, while also delving deeper into her connection to the ancient Iwi civilisation. Her performance earned admiration from audiences around the world, with many praising the representation she brought to the big screen. Brown appeared in Godzilla vs. Kong as Madison Russell, reprising the role she first played in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019). Although Madison and Jia followed different storylines, both characters contributed significantly to the MonsterVerse narrative. The franchise is set to continue with Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, which is scheduled for release in March 2027. Cher ordered to pay over $1 million in legal fees

Cher has been ordered to bear more than $1 million in her own legal expenses despite previously winning a long-running legal battle over music royalties linked to her former husband and musical partner, Sonny Bono. The legal dispute began in October 2021 when the legendary singer and actress filed a lawsuit against Sonny Bono’s widow, Mary Bono. Cher sought to protect her right to receive royalties from songs recorded during the successful Sonny & Cher partnership and claimed she was entitled to damages after her royalty payments were challenged. According to the lawsuit, Cher argued that her 1978 divorce settlement with Sonny Bono guaranteed her a 50% share of the royalties generated by their music catalogue. She alleged that Mary Bono had attempted to terminate those royalty rights under U.S. copyright law, depriving her of income she was legally entitled to receive. The dispute centred on whether Cher’s contractual rights established through the divorce agreement could continue despite copyright termination provisions. Cher maintained that the divorce settlement remained valid and enforceable, while Mary Bono challenged those claims. In May 2024, the court ruled in Cher’s favour on the central issue. The judge found that she was entitled to unpaid royalty payments and awarded her more than $418,000 in damages for royalties that had been withheld. Following that victory, Cher sought to recover the legal costs she had accumulated while pursuing the case. In January 2026, she filed a request asking the court to award her $1,023,605.30 in attorney’s fees. Her legal team argued that the case involved a common set of facts across multiple claims and counterclaims, making it unnecessary to separate the legal costs for each issue individually. They also contended that any work related to Mary Bono’s partially successful counterclaim represented only a minimal portion of the overall litigation. However, the judge rejected Cher’s request for attorney’s fees in a ruling issued on July 17. The court concluded that the case was fundamentally a contract dispute rather than one arising under federal copyright law. Because of that distinction, the judge determined that Cher was not entitled to recover her legal expenses from the opposing side. As a result of the ruling, Cher will have to cover more than $1 million in attorney’s fees herself, despite winning the underlying royalties dispute. Court filings also indicated that approximately $10,000 in additional legal costs was expected to be incurred for her representation. The case marks the latest chapter in a years-long legal battle involving the financial legacy of Sonny & Cher, one of the most influential entertainment duos of the 1960s and 1970s. Cher and Sonny Bono rose to international fame with a string of hit songs before expanding into television with The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, which became one of the era’s most popular variety shows. Following their divorce and the end of their professional partnership, both continued with separate careers. Sonny Bono later entered politics, serving as mayor of Palm Springs before being elected to the U.S. Congress, where he remained until his death in 1998.

Enola Holmes 3 review: A mystery sequel that loses its spark

Enola Holmes 3 fails to build on the charm and excitement that made its predecessors so enjoyable. While the film delivers another mystery featuring the beloved young detective, it lacks the energy, emotional impact and memorable storytelling that helped establish the franchise. One of the biggest disappointments is the music. The earlier films were elevated by their distinctive orchestral themes, particularly the memorable score that became closely associated with Enola’s adventures. This time, however, the familiar musical identity is largely absent, with only a brief nod to it near the end. The new soundtrack does its job but never leaves a lasting impression, making the film feel less emotionally engaging. The same issue extends to the overall filmmaking. Although the direction is polished and the screenplay keeps the story moving, neither brings enough suspense or imagination to make this chapter stand out. The mystery lacks the sense of excitement and cleverness audiences have come to expect from the series, making the adventure feel more routine than thrilling. The story follows Enola Holmes as she prepares to marry Tewkesbury in Malta. However, the celebrations are interrupted when Sherlock Holmes and Tewkesbury’s mother mysteriously disappear. Determined to uncover the truth, Enola launches another investigation with Tewkesbury and Dr. Watson. Their search uncovers secrets tied to Britain’s colonial past, leading them into dangerous territory filled with hidden motives and long-buried treasures. Millie Bobby Brown once again steps into the role of Enola with confidence and charisma, though the material gives her limited opportunities to truly shine. Louis Partridge remains a likeable presence as Tewkesbury, while Henry Cavill returns as Sherlock Holmes. However, Sherlock has noticeably less screen time than before, and his interactions with the rest of the cast are surprisingly limited, making his role feel underused. The supporting cast, including Helena Bonham Carter and Sharon Duncan-Brewster, deliver committed performances. Duncan-Brewster portrays Moriarty with theatrical flair, embracing the character’s dramatic nature. At times, however, several performances lean toward exaggerated expressions and heightened emotions, reducing the natural chemistry between characters. Visually, the film captures Malta’s scenic locations well, offering attractive backdrops for the investigation. Yet the impressive settings cannot compensate for a story that rarely generates genuine tension or surprise. Many plot developments are predictable, and the mystery lacks the clever twists that usually define Holmes-inspired adventures. The romance between Enola and Tewkesbury receives significant attention and becomes one of the film’s central emotional threads. While their relationship remains appealing, the heavy focus on romance occasionally overshadows the detective elements that made the franchise unique. Ultimately, Enola Holmes 3 is an entertaining but uninspired sequel. It offers enough familiar faces and lighthearted moments to satisfy devoted fans, but it rarely captures the wit, mystery and emotional spark that defined the earlier films. Despite competent performances and polished production values, the film settles for being serviceable rather than memorable, making it one of the weaker entries in the series.
