Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon to take place this Saturday

  • The first Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon will take place on Saturday, 23 May
  • More than 200 runners are registered for the 100km race alone
  • The event will start and finish at Rajabhakti Park, with races from 3am to 9pm

Hua Hin is preparing to host the inaugural Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon 2026 this Saturday, 23 May, with more than 200 runners taking part in the 100km race alone.

The event will be held at Rajabhakti Park from 3am to 9pm and will feature four race distances: 10km, 25km, 50km and 100km.

A preparatory meeting was held on Monday, 18 May, at the Poolsuk Room of Hua Hin City Municipality Office to review arrangements for the race, including route readiness and safety measures for runners.

The meeting was chaired by Ms Busaba Choksuchart, Deputy Mayor of Hua Hin City Municipality.

It was attended by Chief Petty Officer Likhit Noonin, Permanent Secretary of Hua Hin City Municipality; Mr Siam Sombatthong, Head of the Office of the Municipal Clerk; Colonel Kitikhun Charoensakul, Head of the Service Division at the Army Non-Commissioned Officer School; Mr Thawee Khumthong; and Mr Thanasit Ariyasinweerakul, team manager and runner from the Ultra On Way team.

Representatives from government and private sector agencies, staff from the Phetkasem Hua Hin Foundation, and other relevant officials also attended.

Local runners among those taking part

Organisers said the Hua Hin 100K Ultra Marathon 2026 is intended to support Hua Hin’s development as a sports tourism destination and attract Thai and international runners, as well as supporters, from across the country.

The event is also expected to benefit the tourism and service sectors in the Hua Hin-Cha-am area, while helping promote the city as a venue for major sporting events.

The routes will take runners through a mix of coastal, urban and landmark areas of Hua Hin, with the 100km event expected to be the main focus of the day.

Several local athletes are among those taking part, including runners from Hua Hin Trail Runners.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and support the runners from Rajabhakti Park and along the route.
