Thap Thai Fitness Park to open in Hua Hin on 13 June
Hua Hin’s new landmark: Thap Thai Fitness Park grand opening on 13 June
Hua Hin, it’s time to move. A major community-driven project is reaching its finish line, and residents are invited to be part of the celebration.
On 13 June, Thap Thai Fitness Park will officially open its gates with a free obstacle event that is as much a festival as it is a fitness challenge. Whether you are an aspiring Spartan racer or a family looking for a fun afternoon, the event is designed for you.
Special thanks have been given to Serge Henkens and his company, Sports Republic Thailand.
A 2 million baht community triumph
This is not just a park opening; it is a major event born from the heart of the community. More than 600,000 baht has been raised, and with the combined support of volunteers and professionals, the total project value exceeds 1.5 million baht.
This means a community-driven project worth almost 2 million baht has been created by the people, for the people of Hua Hin.
In the spirit of transparency, every invoice has been made public on the project’s website for the community to see.
Leading the way in sustainability
Thap Thai Fitness Park will feature the area’s first public, environmentally friendly waste separation centre.
This addition was made possible through a generous donation from Paul Van Slyke and Adrienne Inskeep and their company, Executive Homes.
Local artist to create artwork for the park
Local artist Nakawan Towised, also known as Khun Noon, is creating unique artwork for Thap Thai Fitness Park.
Visitors who have seen the large-scale murals in the outside garden at Bluport Hua Hin will already be familiar with her work. For the new fitness park, she is helping transform the space into a more colourful and creative community venue, combining sport, fitness and public art.
Power in numbers: sponsors and partners

The state-of-the-art obstacle rig has been supported by more than 30 local sponsors and 10 project partners.
Organisers are also welcoming Damo Molloy, Ambassador for Spartan Thailand and the official Ambassador for Thap Thai Fitness Park, who will be on site to help lead the event.
Main support: Organisers said they are honoured to have the support of the Mayor of Thap Thai, Khun Arranat Saravat, whose leadership has been instrumental.
Community partners: Singha is supporting the event as a sponsor, while Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin is collaborating as the official hotel partner. Singha will provide 400 chairs, tables and tents for the day.
The food fair: More than 30 food vendors will be on site, showcasing a wide range of local flavours.
Meet the visionary

The driving force behind the project is Henrik Fagersson, Director of Vilhelm International Academy, owner of The Hub Hua Hin and Spine Clinic, and founder of the Hua Hin Heroes Foundation.
Henrik’s vision is to create a leading destination for health and resilience that is accessible to everyone, free of charge.
