Hua Hin Heroes opens new building at local school
Hua Hin Heroes has officially opened a new multipurpose classroom building at Ban Nong Phai School in Thap Tai, providing a safer and more suitable learning space for more than 100 students.
A merit-making ceremony was held on Wednesday 20 May to mark the opening of the new building, which will support a range of learning activities and help improve the school environment for children in the local community.
The ceremony was attended by Prachuap Khiri Khan Governor Sitthichai Sawat-saen, along with local officials, business representatives, teachers and students.
Also in attendance were Mr Anat Sarawat, President of Thap Tai Subdistrict Administrative Organisation; Chief Petty Officer Likhit Noonin, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Hua Hin City Municipality; Mrs Benjamas Uamsa-ard, Vice President of the Hua Hin/Cha-am Tourism Business Association; Mr Jan Weisheit, General Manager of Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin; and Mr Sunthorn Sukwangsai, Director of Ban Nong Phai School.
The project was made possible through funds raised by the Hua Hin Heroes Charity Golf Cup, which was held on 8 February 2025 at Pineapple Valley Golf Club, Hua Hin.
Hua Hin Heroes was founded by Adam Clark, Ploypailin Sakdaphetsiri and Henrik Fagersson to support underprivileged schools in Hua Hin district by organising charitable sports events and helping direct funds to schools in need.
Ban Nong Phai School was selected as the group’s beneficiary for 2025, with funds from the golf tournament used to construct the new multipurpose classroom building. The new facility replaces an old structure that had become unsafe for teachers and students.
Orchid Palm Homes has been among the key supporters of Hua Hin Heroes, alongside many other businesses, organisations and individuals from Hua Hin and beyond who helped bring the project to completion.
The building will now be used for a variety of educational activities and is expected to make a lasting contribution to the school and its students.
