Hua Hin immigration arrests man over 274-day overstay

A Turkish national has been arrested in Hua Hin for overstaying his visa by 274 days, Prachuap Khiri Khan Immigration announced on Friday (12 June).

Immigration officers said the man was found in Hua Hin District and charged with remaining in Thailand after the expiry of his visa.

He has been handed over to investigators at Hua Hin Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Officials said he now faces deportation, a fine and a five-year ban on re-entering Thailand.
