Hua Hin landlord issues warning after Swiss man trashes rental property

A Hua Hin landlord has warned other property owners to be cautious after claiming a Swiss tenant trashed her rental house and continued inviting women to the property after his tenancy had ended.

The case gained attention over the past week after the homeowner shared photographs and details of the incident in a local Facebook group for Hua Hin residents.

According to the homeowner, the Swiss national had previously rented another property nearby before moving into her house. She said the property was left in a severely damaged condition after a six-month tenancy.

Photos posted online showed extensive damage and mess throughout the home. The homeowner said a bicycle and electrical appliances had been thrown into the swimming pool, while a toilet had been deliberately blocked with debris.

Other images appeared to show fish from a can thrown over a bed, a mattress cut with a knife, and items including rocks and vases placed inside a washing machine. The kitchen was also left trashed, with food and rubbish scattered across the floor and work surfaces.

The homeowner said she was shocked when she entered the property and saw the condition of the house.

She said she did not know where to begin with the clean-up and decided to share the case online to warn other landlords in Hua Hin.

The post quickly attracted attention from residents, many of whom expressed concern about the scale of the damage and the potential cost of repairs.

Some users asked whether there had been a dispute between the landlord and tenant. The homeowner said there had been no conflict between them and suggested the incident may have been linked to the man’s mental health.

Warning also issued to women in Hua Hin

In addition to warning property owners, the homeowner also urged women in Hua Hin to be cautious.

She claimed the former tenant continued arranging meetings with women at the rental property even after his contract had ended.

After the story spread online, the homeowner said Channel 8 contacted her for an interview. She also said the media outlet had coordinated with Hua Hin Police Station to assist her in seeking compensation from the former tenant.

The Swiss man has not publicly responded to the allegations.

Police have not yet announced whether any formal legal action will be taken.
