Katy Perry thanks Dua Lipa as she wraps Eurosummer tour

Katy Perry has officially concluded the European leg of her Lifetimes Tour, marking the occasion with a heartfelt social media post that celebrated her fans, reflected on her summer performances, and expressed gratitude to fellow pop star Dua Lipa.

The singer took to Instagram on Monday to announce the end of her “Eurosummer,” following a busy schedule of concerts and festival appearances across Europe. One of the highlights of the tour was her performance at the Sunny Hill Festival in Pristina, Kosovo, an event founded by Dua Lipa and her family that has become one of the region’s most prominent music festivals.

Sharing a collection of photos and videos from the festival, Perry described the experience as unforgettable and thanked Lipa for the invitation. She revealed that it was her first-ever performance in Kosovo and said the warm reception from the audience made the occasion especially meaningful.

“My first ever show in Kosovo was magical!! Thank you @dualipa and @sunnyhillfestival for having me,” Perry wrote in the caption accompanying the post.

Reflecting on the conclusion of her European summer tour, the singer thanked fans who attended her concerts despite the hot weather. She expressed appreciation for everyone who supported the shows and jokingly announced that she was officially “out of office” after an eventful summer on the road.

Perry also included a touching personal note directed at Dua Lipa, writing, “Pls contact Tamra if you need something. I love you,” a message that resonated with fans and highlighted the close bond between the two artists.

The Instagram carousel featured several behind-the-scenes moments from the festival, including clips of Perry performing on stage, interacting with the crowd, and enjoying the atmosphere of the event. Among the most memorable moments was her encounter with a young fan celebrating her birthday.

During the concert, Perry invited the child on stage after learning that her mother had brought her to the festival as a birthday surprise. Wanting to make the celebration even more special, the singer performed her hit anthem Roar alongside the young fan, creating a heartwarming moment that drew cheers from the audience.

Fans praised Perry’s gesture on social media, describing it as one of the standout highlights of the night and applauding her for creating a memorable experience for the birthday girl.

Meanwhile, Perry has also been making headlines for her personal life. Recent photographs circulating online showed the singer spending time in France with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The images captured the pair enjoying a relaxed beach outing, walking hand in hand and sharing affectionate moments by the water.

Perry was seen wearing a cream-colored crochet dress paired with a matching hat and sunglasses, while Trudeau opted for blue shorts and sunglasses during the seaside stroll. The photos also showed the two embracing and sharing kisses, further fueling speculation about their relationship.

Although neither Perry nor Trudeau has publicly commented on the reports, the images have attracted widespread attention online, adding another chapter to what has already been a memorable summer for the global pop star.

With the European leg of the Lifetimes Tour now complete, Perry is expected to take a short break before continuing with the next phase of her touring schedule.

Nawaz Sharif looks beyond AJK: PML-N’s next poli…

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s victory in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections is more than another electoral success. It marks the return of Nawaz Sharif as the party’s undisputed political strategist and sends a clear message that his sights are now set far beyond AJK—towards the next general elections. For months, political observers questioned whether Nawaz Sharif would ever resume an active leadership role. His recent engagement has answered that question decisively. From personally chairing meetings in Murree with party ticket holders to spearheading the election campaign, Nawaz Sharif demonstrated that he remains the final authority within PML-N. The AJK result carries political significance because it is the first major electoral victory under his renewed leadership. It has strengthened his position within the party while boosting the morale of PML-N workers who have long awaited his full return to frontline politics. One defining feature of Nawaz Sharif’s political career has been his ability to think several moves ahead. Those who have closely followed his journey know he rarely makes impulsive decisions. Instead, he carefully plans, builds consensus and prepares the ground long before the political battle begins. Having observed Nawaz Sharif’s politics closely over the past two decades, including during his years in London, I have found that patience and long-term planning remain his greatest political strengths. Today, Nawaz Sharif is supported by two of the strongest pillars within the party. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif continues to lead the federal government at a time when Pakistan has emerged from severe economic challenges. His government has worked to restore macroeconomic stability, rebuild investor confidence and improve Pakistan’s international standing. Equally important has been his unwavering loyalty to his elder brother. Throughout decades of political highs and lows, Shehbaz Sharif has stood firmly beside Nawaz Sharif, rejecting opportunities that could have divided the party and instead prioritising unity. Alongside him is Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who has evolved into the party’s most influential leader of the next generation. During PML-N’s years in opposition, she became the face of the party’s resistance, leading rallies, energising workers and keeping the party politically active during its most difficult period. Since assuming office, she has focused on governance, launching development and welfare initiatives that her supporters believe are reshaping Punjab. With Shehbaz Sharif managing the federation and Maryam Nawaz governing Punjab, Nawaz Sharif appears free to concentrate on what has always been his greatest strength—building the party organisation. His meetings with legislators, workers and local leaders suggest that organisational consolidation is now at the heart of his strategy. The AJK campaign may therefore be remembered as the beginning of a much larger political roadmap. Rather than waiting for the next general election to be announced, Nawaz Sharif appears to be rebuilding PML-N from the ground up, strengthening party structures, reconnecting with workers and preparing candidates well in advance. It is a strategy that has defined many of his previous political successes. Critics who predicted the end of Nawaz Sharif’s political career may need to revisit their assumptions. Pakistan’s political history has repeatedly shown that experienced leaders cannot be measured solely by temporary setbacks. Nawaz Sharif has returned before, and each comeback has reshaped the country’s political landscape. The message emerging after the AJK elections is unmistakable: Nawaz Sharif is looking beyond a single electoral victory. His focus is firmly fixed on preparing PML-N for the next national political contest. Whether one agrees with his politics or not, one reality is becoming increasingly clear: Nawaz Sharif is once again thinking several steps ahead. If history is any guide, that is when he has proved to be at his most politically effective.

Current system has lost public trust, reset is ine…

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said the country’s current political system has lost the confidence of the public and requires a complete reset to restore democratic credibility. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Barrister Gohar said that instead of forming more governments under the existing circumstances, the leadership should return to the people and seek a fresh public mandate. He claimed that a key coalition partner had publicly described the prime minister as the beneficiary of a rigged election. According to Gohar, such a statement should have prompted the prime minister to immediately seek a vote of confidence in the National Assembly. The PTI chairman argued that the prime minister failed to obtain a vote of confidence and had therefore lost the moral legitimacy to continue in office. He added that the prime minister’s silence on the issue reflected a loss of political support and public confidence. Barrister Gohar further alleged that the government’s administrative structure had effectively collapsed. He claimed the government had lost its constitutional, legal and democratic standing, making the continuation of the current system increasingly difficult. He said the time had come for the existing political system to come to an end, adding that the Constitution provides a legal mechanism for moving a vote of no confidence. He said PTI would consult its allies before deciding its future course of action. The PTI chairman also said he believed the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had emerged from a disputed electoral process. Calling for a political solution, Barrister Gohar urged all stakeholders to develop a national consensus to resolve the country’s ongoing political crisis. He stressed that Parliament should seriously address the public demands coming from all provinces.

Kristen Stewart’s video misused to spread false claims about Robert Pattinson reunion

A clip of Kristen Stewart is making rounds online. It comes with a caption falsely claiming she wants to rekindle things with ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson. The caption even suggests she would leave her spouse to make that happen. The video itself is from an old interview. In it, Stewart discusses something entirely unrelated to Pattinson. She talks about the value of public embarrassment. She says she considers herself lucky to have had moments of falling flat on her face publicly. A healthy dose of humiliation, she adds, keeps a person grounded. Despite this, the clip was recirculated with a fabricated caption. It claims Stewart broke down in tears, confessing that cheating on Pattinson remains her biggest regret. The caption alleges she still thinks about him. It even claims she’d divorce her husband for one more chance at being with him. The claim falls apart quickly. For starters, Stewart is not married to a husband at all. She came out publicly as gay in February 2017. In April 2025, she married screenwriter Dylan Meyer. The two have since spoken openly about their relationship. Recent interviews show Stewart in a happy place, both personally and professionally. She has collaborated with Meyer on creative projects, while continuing to focus on her work behind the camera as a director. Friends close to the couple have described their marriage as steady, with both partners actively supporting one another’s careers. The misleading video appears to be piggybacking on an old, real story from Stewart’s past. Back in 2012, she publicly apologized after being caught in an affair with Rupert Sanders. Sanders directed her in Snow White and the Huntsman. At the time, Stewart was still in a relationship with Pattinson. She addressed the situation publicly and expressed sincere regret. That moment became widely publicized and has followed her in tabloid coverage for years since. Nothing in her recent interviews or public statements supports the idea that she wants to reunite with Pattinson. There is also no indication of her considering ending her marriage over it. The viral claim appears to be a case of an old clip stripped of context, then paired with an entirely invented narrative to drive engagement. Such recycled clips are a common tactic online, where old footage is repurposed with misleading captions to spark outrage or attract clicks, often at the expense of the public figure’s actual words and intent.

BTS member J-Hope appeared deeply moved after fans organised a touching surprise during the opening night of the group’s ARIRANG World Tour at MetLife Stadium, creating one of the concert’s most memorable moments. As thousands of fans filled the venue, they simultaneously raised pastel-coloured flower-shaped banners, transforming the stadium into a vibrant display of purple, pink, yellow and blue. The coordinated fan project was designed to celebrate BTS’s long-awaited return as a full group following the members’ military service. The emotional moment unfolded when BTS leader RM paused the concert to read the message printed on the banners. The Korean phrase expressed the joy of finally reuniting with the group after years apart, comparing the occasion to the arrival of spring after a long winter. The heartfelt tribute appeared to take the members by surprise. J-Hope smiled warmly as he reacted to the gesture, calling it “so sweet.” Moments later, fans noticed the rapper raising his sleeve to his face, leading many to believe he was wiping away tears as he became overwhelmed by the support. The audience responded with loud cheers, while videos of J-Hope’s emotional reaction quickly spread across social media, where fans praised the strong bond between BTS and ARMY. The large-scale banner project was organised by a fan known online as Ashley (@actuallynoh), who launched a crowdfunding campaign to produce and distribute around 41,000 flower-shaped banners throughout the stadium. The colourful display symbolised hope, renewal and the beginning of a new chapter for both BTS and their global fanbase. Following the concert, Ashley expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the project, saying she never imagined RM would read a message she had written from the heart. Aaliya Hamza allegedly attacked inside Kot Lakhpat…

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has alleged that party leader Aaliya Hamza was attacked by fellow inmates inside Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail. Aaliya Hamza is currently imprisoned at the facility. PTI leaders claimed that she faced a physical assault following a dispute over access to water in a jail toilet. According to the party, one female inmate and several other prisoners were involved in the incident. PTI representatives alleged that the situation became serious when the inmates allegedly tried to strangle Aaliya. They described the incident as an attempt on her life. The allegations have raised concerns within the party about her safety and security while in custody. PTI leaders Sanam Javed and Falak Javed were also present in the jail, according to the party’s account. They allegedly intervened during the incident and helped protect Aaliya from the other inmates. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja said the party had received disturbing information about the alleged incident. He called on the Punjab government and jail authorities to ensure Aaliya’s safety. Raja also demanded an immediate and transparent investigation into the matter. He said officials found responsible for negligence should face action. He also called for legal proceedings if any jail staff were found to have failed in their duties. Raja said the party would consult Aaliya’s family about further legal steps. He added that a petition could be filed in court seeking a medical examination and additional protection for the jailed leader. However, prison authorities have rejected PTI’s account of a physical assault. Punjab Inspector General Prisons Mian Salik Jalal said there was no physical clash between the prisoners. He said the inmates had only exchanged heated words over fetching water from a toilet. The conflicting accounts have created questions about what exactly happened inside the jail. The PTI has called for a formal inquiry, while prison authorities maintain that no physical confrontation took place. Aaliya was arrested by Punjab police in March. Authorities had alleged that she was evading arrest and organising gatherings involving PTI lawmakers, election candidates and party workers outside Adiala Jail. She was later transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. Her arrest took place while she was in Lahore visiting family members during Eidul Fitr. She was initially taken to Shadman Police Station before being moved to jail. The PTI has strongly criticised the cases against Aaliya. Party leaders have repeatedly described her arrest and legal proceedings as politically motivated.

Crimean residents struggle with power cuts as Ukrainian strikes disrupt daily life

Residents across Crimea are facing growing hardship after repeated Ukrainian attacks on energy infrastructure disrupted electricity and fuel supplies across the peninsula. Long power outages have forced many families to rely on community kitchens for hot meals as daily life becomes increasingly difficult. Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, has experienced months of pressure on its energy network following Ukrainian strikes targeting power plants and other strategic facilities. Ukrainian officials say the campaign is aimed at weakening Russia’s military capabilities and bringing the effects of the war closer to Russian controlled territory. The attacks come as Ukraine continues to endure regular missile and drone strikes on its own cities since Russia launched its full scale invasion in 2022. In the town of Massandra, local authorities have organised public meal services for residents who are unable to cook because of prolonged electricity cuts. Large pots of buckwheat and reheated canned beef are prepared each day and distributed to around 200 people. Officials say many households depend entirely on electric stoves, leaving them without a way to prepare food when the power goes out. Massandra town administration head Oksana Madyud said the community kitchens were set up to support families facing ongoing disruptions. She explained that many residents have no alternative cooking methods and need access to hot meals until electricity supplies become more stable. Local workers continue preparing food every day to help elderly residents and vulnerable families cope with the difficult conditions. The prolonged outages have created serious challenges for many people, particularly those living in high rise apartment buildings. Marina, a local resident, said she was forced to search for a gas stove and fuel cylinders after losing electricity in her apartment. She explained that climbing down from her tenth floor flat has become painful because of a leg injury, yet she had little choice because her home has only an electric cooker that cannot be used during blackouts. Another resident, Alexandra, said she had spent ten days without electricity before power was finally restored. She joined the queue for a hot meal after being drawn by the smell of freshly prepared food. Although electricity had returned that afternoon, she remained uncertain whether the supply would continue once she reached home, reflecting the uncertainty many families now face. Fuel shortages have added to the difficulties across towns and cities in Crimea, making transport and everyday activities more challenging. The continuing disruption has increased pressure on local authorities to provide emergency support while residents adjust to frequent interruptions in essential services. As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, civilians on both sides are increasingly feeling the consequences. While Ukraine says its strikes are intended to weaken Russia’s military infrastructure, residents in Crimea are left dealing with power shortages, limited fuel supplies and an uncertain daily routine as the war continues to affect civilian life far from the front lines.
