Natalie Portman shares heartfelt pregnancy update …

Natalie Portman has delighted fans with a rare and heartfelt pregnancy update as she enters the final weeks before welcoming her third child. The Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram to share a beautiful photo of her growing baby bump, accompanied by a simple but emotional message that reflected her excitement for the journey ahead.

In the touching post, Portman posed in an oversized blue striped shirt while gently cradling her bare baby bump. Alongside the image, she wrote, “Counting the days until we meet you,” expressing her anticipation as her due date approaches. The intimate portrait, captured by photographer Shelby Duncan, quickly received an outpouring of love from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom congratulated the actress on the next chapter of her life.

This will be Portman’s third child and her first with French music producer Tanguy Destable, also known professionally as Tepr. The couple has been together since 2025 and currently lives in Paris. Portman is already a proud mother to son Aleph and daughter Amalia, whom she shares with her former husband, choreographer Benjamin Millepied.

The actress first announced her pregnancy in April during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. At the time, she described the experience as “a privilege and a miracle,” while acknowledging that she is especially grateful after witnessing how difficult pregnancy can be for many families. As the daughter of a fertility doctor, Portman said she has long understood the emotional challenges that often accompany the journey to parenthood.

Portman has also spoken about how this pregnancy feels different from her previous ones. Now in her mid-40s, she says she approaches motherhood with greater calm, patience and appreciation. She has been enjoying a quieter lifestyle in Paris, spending time with her children, staying active through swimming and gyrotonics, and embracing the slower pace of everyday family life.

Although the actress has largely stayed away from social media throughout her pregnancy, her latest post offered fans a rare glimpse into this special period of her life. Many praised the photo for its natural and understated beauty, while others admired Portman’s openness about cherishing what she has suggested may be her final pregnancy.

As Natalie Portman prepares to welcome her newest family member, her latest update reflects a mix of gratitude, excitement and quiet anticipation. While she continues to keep much of her private life out of the spotlight, this heartfelt glimpse into her final weeks of pregnancy has resonated with fans around the world, who are eagerly joining her in counting down the days until her baby’s arrival.

NDMA warns of rising river levels, flood risk

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that water levels in several major rivers across Pakistan could rise sharply from August 2 to 4 as monsoon rains intensify, raising the risk of flooding in various parts of the country. The NDMA urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to flood-prone areas and remain alert to changing weather and road conditions. According to the authority’s National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC), the Lehri River at Head Gogi has reached high flood levels, while Nullah Palkhu at Wazirabad is experiencing medium-level flooding. The Indus River continues to face low-level flooding at Kalabagh, Chashma, Guddu and Sukkur, while the Nari River is also reporting low-level flooding at Head Nari. The NDMA expects high flows in the Chenab River at Marala, with low to medium flows likely at Khanki and Qadirabad. The Jhelum, Ravi and Kabul rivers, along with their tributaries, may also see rising water levels. The NDMA warned that streams connected to the Jhelum, Chenab and Ravi could experience medium to high flows. Water levels in the Ravi and Sutlej rivers will also depend on water releases from reservoirs in India. The authority has also highlighted the threat of flash floods in hill torrents across Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur, as well as seasonal streams in central and southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan. Urban flooding and water accumulation could affect low-lying areas in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Hyderabad, Badin, Thatta and other parts of Sindh. The NDMA advised people not to cross flooded areas on foot or in vehicles and to check weather forecasts and road conditions before travelling. It also asked residents to follow directions from local authorities and stay informed through the official Pak NDMA Disaster Alert mobile application. Meanwhile, the Emergency Response Committee (ERC), formed by the prime minister, held its 10th consecutive daily meeting on Sunday to review the country’s monsoon preparedness and response. The committee directed relevant authorities to maintain maximum preparedness and speed up relief and rehabilitation operations. The meeting also reviewed the forecast of further rainfall in northern and central Pakistan, with isolated showers expected in southeastern Sindh.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Vivienne…

Vivienne, the 18-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has reportedly taken a significant legal step by filing paperwork to remove “Pitt” from her surname. According to reports, Vivienne submitted the request to the Los Angeles Superior Court on July 20, seeking to change her legal name from Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt to Vivienne Jolie. The reported filing marks another development in the well-publicized family dynamics involving Jolie and Pitt. If approved, Vivienne would become the fourth of the former couple’s six children to publicly distance themselves from their father’s last name, following similar moves by some of her siblings in recent years. According to Page Six, the legal request was filed shortly after Vivienne turned 18, the age at which she can independently seek a legal name change without parental approval. While neither Vivienne nor her representatives have publicly commented on the filing, the move has attracted widespread attention due to the family’s long-running legal and personal disputes. Vivienne has largely stayed out of the spotlight compared with some of her siblings. However, she made headlines in 2024 when she worked alongside her mother as a production assistant on the Broadway musical The Outsiders. In the show’s Playbill, she was credited simply as Vivienne Jolie, leading many to speculate that she had already begun using her mother’s surname professionally. The reported legal filing comes after similar decisions by other Jolie-Pitt children. Zahara introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during her college sorority induction ceremony, while Shiloh successfully petitioned the court to remove “Pitt” from her legal surname after turning 18. Maddox has also reportedly used only the surname “Jolie” in informal settings, although it has not been publicly confirmed that he legally changed his name. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, once considered one of Hollywood’s most famous couples, have remained involved in lengthy legal battles since their separation in 2016. Their divorce was finalized in 2019, but disputes over custody and ownership of the French winery Château Miraval have continued for years. The ongoing legal conflict has often drawn public attention to the family’s private matters. Neither Brad Pitt nor Angelina Jolie has publicly addressed Vivienne’s reported legal filing. As a result, the reasons behind her decision remain private, and no official statement has been released by the family. If the court approves the request, Vivienne will legally be known as Vivienne Jolie, further reflecting the naming choice she has already appeared to adopt in her professional life. While the decision has generated considerable media interest, it also highlights the family’s continuing efforts to navigate life in the public eye while managing deeply personal matters.

Sharjeel Memon accuses PML-N of holding power thro…

Senior Sindh Minister and Provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Tuesday launched a sharp criticism of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), accusing the ruling party of coming to power through a “fake mandate” and challenging it to contest fresh elections in Punjab to prove its public support. Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Sharjeel Memon alleged that the PML-N government lacked genuine electoral legitimacy and was holding office on the basis of what he described as “Form 47.” He claimed that the party did not secure the mandate of the people in the 2024 general elections and questioned its popularity, particularly in Punjab. Addressing recent political developments, Memon alleged that serious electoral irregularities had taken place during the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections. He claimed that the polls were marred by extensive rigging and criticized the conduct of the electoral process. Referring to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s recent remarks, he said her statements reflected what he described as “theft followed by defiance,” accusing the ruling party of attempting to justify its actions instead of addressing concerns raised by the opposition. The senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader said the PML-N government was surviving on what he termed a “charity mandate” rather than genuine public support. He reiterated his claim that the party’s government was a product of “Form 47,” a reference frequently used by opposition parties in connection with allegations regarding the 2024 general election results. Memon argued that the people of Sindh had clearly expressed their confidence in the Pakistan Peoples Party during the 2024 elections by voting in its favor. He contrasted the PPP’s electoral performance with that of the PML-N, claiming that the ruling party had suffered a significant political setback despite ultimately forming the federal government.   Continuing his criticism, the Sindh minister challenged the PML-N leadership to dissolve the Punjab government and seek a fresh public mandate. He claimed that if elections were held again in the province, the ruling party would fail to secure the support it claims to enjoy. According to Memon, public opinion in Punjab does not reflect the electoral outcome that brought the PML-N to power. He further alleged that the leadership of the PML-N had repeatedly left the country after reaching political agreements, contrasting that with the Pakistan Peoples Party’s political history. Memon maintained that PPP leaders had remained in Pakistan during difficult political periods and continued to face challenges rather than leaving the country. The provincial minister also accused federal ministers belonging to the PML-N of attempting to influence the electoral process in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed that several federal ministers remained present in Mirpur Division until the morning of polling day and sought to influence the local administration. According to Memon, the actions of the federal ministers amounted to a violation of the Election Commission’s code of conduct. He alleged that government officials were pressured during the election process, raising concerns about the fairness and transparency of the polls. The remarks come amid continuing political tensions between the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz over electoral legitimacy, governance, and recent elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Opposition parties have repeatedly raised concerns regarding the conduct of elections, while the ruling coalition has rejected allegations of irregularities and maintained that the electoral process was conducted in accordance with the law. Sharjeel Memon concluded by reiterating his challenge to the PML-N leadership, insisting that a fresh election in Punjab would provide the true test of the party’s public support and determine whether it genuinely enjoys the confidence of the electorate.

Rajkummar Rao’s courtroom drama ‘Prahaar’ faces postponement

Actor Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming courtroom drama Prahaar has reportedly been postponed from its scheduled theatrical release on August 7, 2026, as the makers seek a clearer box office window amid a heavily crowded theatrical calendar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner and directed by Avinash Arun, the film draws inspiration from the life and high-profile legal trials of renowned special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. In addition to Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, the feature stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles. According to industry reports, the decision to push back the film’s arrival came after detailed discussions between the producers and key distribution stakeholders. The August release corridor features several major domestic and international titles competing for screen share, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing in late July, followed shortly by Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 in mid-August. An industry source close to the project revealed that the makers felt releasing Prahaar in such a competitive window would restrict its box office growth, especially for a narrative-driven courtroom drama that relies on strong word-of-mouth: “Prahaar was scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 7. However, the makers have now decided to postpone its release. After discussions with the stakeholders, they felt that it would not be advisable to release the film during that period. Had it arrived on the scheduled date, it would have released a week after Spider-Man: Brand New Day and a week before Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2. Meanwhile, Prahaar is a special film that requires a healthy window, as it has the potential to draw audiences in large numbers.” Speculation surrounding a potential delay had already been circulating within trade circles due to the complete absence of active promotional campaigns with just two weeks remaining before the planned launch date. Producer Dinesh Vijan is widely known for executing extensive promotional tours well in advance, making the lack of marketing events a clear signal to theater owners and analysts that a date change was imminent. Prahaar marks the second Maddock Films project to undergo a schedule adjustment this season, following similar date shifts for Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming project Eetha. While Maddock Films has yet to officially announce a revised launch date, trade analysts expect the studio to secure an uninterrupted release window in the coming months to maximize the film’s theatrical potential across domestic and international markets.
