Pattaya Hosts Opening of Asia Cross Country Rally 2026
PATTAYA, Chonburi – On August 9th, 2026, Mr. Kritsana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, led the opening ceremony of the international Asia Cross Country Rally 2026 (AXCR 2026). The event drew members of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization Council, Pattaya City Council members, the competition organizing team, athletes, distinguished guests, and members of the public, creating a lively atmosphere at Walking Street.
The rally is organized by Orthave Partnership Limited (Thailand) along with R1 Japan, an experienced manager of international cross-country motorcycle and automobile rallies with more than 23 years of continuous operations. The competition is to promote and develop Thailand’s motorsport scene to greater international recognition, provide Thai athletes with opportunities to exchange experiences and improve their skills alongside competitors from various countries, and boost tourism while stimulating the local economies along the rally route.

Asia Cross Country Rally 2026 is scheduled to run from August 9 to 15, 2026. Pattaya serves as the official starting point before the competitors head through multiple regions of Thailand, with the finish line set in Phitsanulok Province.

Hosting the opening ceremony shows Pattaya’s capability to stage international-level sporting events. It also reinforces the city’s position as a premier destination for tourism, sports, and world-class events, enhancing its image, encouraging tourist arrivals, and generating ongoing economic benefits for the local community.
