Sri Racha District Holds Royal Homage Ceremony and Dry Food Almsgiving to Mark HRM the King’s Birthday

SRI RACHA, Chonburi – Sri Racha District organized a ceremony to pay homage to His Royal Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) along with a dry rice and food almsgiving event on the occasion of His Royal Majesty’s birthday.

The event took place at the Sri Racha Prachakom Building. Mrs. Phatthachanan Phongphad, Sri Racha District Chief, presided over the proceedings. She offered incense and candles and presented floral trays before a portrait of His Royal Majesty the King.

Ten Buddhist monks then chanted sacred verses. An Islamic religious leader recited a dua (prayer) offering blessings to the King, while a Christian religious leader conducted a prayer of intercession for His Royal Majesty.

Following the multi-faith blessings, the district chief and leaders of local administrative organizations presented sets of monk’s robes (phra trai) and other traditional offerings (jatu factors and Thai Dhamma items) to the monks.

The district chief, together with participants, then offered dry rice and non-perishable food to 59 Buddhist monks as a royal act of merit-making in celebration of His Royal Majesty’s birthday on 28 July 2026.

Among those joining the almsgiving were Mr. Chatchai Timkrachang, Mayor of Sri Racha Municipality, municipal executives and council members, government officials, local leaders, representatives from the private sector, and members of the public from all walks of life.

The ceremony reflected the joy and deep respect of the Thai people, who gathered to commemorate the boundless royal kindness of His Royal Majesty and the many beneficial royal duties he has performed for the peace and well-being of the Thai nation.
