Stone Head Rock Fest Hua Hin set for September
Stone Head Rock Fest Hua Hin will bring six leading Thai rock and alternative bands to Royal Hua Hin Golf Course on Saturday, 5 September.
The festival, officially titled Stone Head Rock Fest Hua Hin, Presented by The Lay**, will feature Silly Fools, Sweet Mullet, Hard Boy, Bedroom Audio, Only Monday and Aliz.
Details of the event were announced at a press conference at Royal Hua Hin Golf Course on 2 August, chaired by Hua Hin Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul.
He was joined by Jamnong Butsong, vice-president of the Hua Hin-Cha-am Tourism Business Association; Amnat Pankaew, general manager of Royal Hua Hin Golf Course; Pol Lt Col Worot Krungkarnjana, deputy superintendent of Hua Hin Police Station; Deputy Mayor Sanphop Ungrasamee; organisers, sponsors and invited guests.
Members of Bedroom Audio also attended the announcement.
Rock festival at Royal Hua Hin Golf Course
Mayor Nopporn said the festival was intended to support tourism and help generate economic activity during Hua Hin’s green season.
It will be the first rock festival of its kind to be held on the grounds of Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, with the concert taking place on the course’s lawns.
Organisers said the six-band line-up has been designed to appeal to rock fans as well as those looking for a more relaxed festival atmosphere.
Preparations are also being made for traffic management, parking and access to the venue.
Royal Hua Hin Golf Course is one of Hua Hin’s best-known historic landmarks and has been operating for more than a century.
Tickets for Stone Head Rock Fest Hua Hin are on sale until 31 August.
