Water-Pouring Funeral Rites for Murdered Father, Mother and Child Begin Amid Grief at Wat Khao Boon Near Pattaya

PATTAYA, Thailand — At 5:30 p.m. on August 4th, 2026, officers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue unit in Pattaya City transported the bodies of three deceased and tragically murdered family members, a father, mother, and their teen child, for water-pouring funeral rites at Wat Khao Boon Midaram in the Huai Yai Subdistrict.

The ceremony took place in an atmosphere of profound sorrow. Relatives, family members and many members of the public gathered to pay their respects and join the traditional rites, united in mourning the family’s devastating loss.

Gun Jompalang, a well known activist who has been helping the family of the victims seek justice, attended the ceremony and served as a co-host of the funeral. He offered support and encouragement to the grieving relatives while closely monitoring developments in the related case.
