Yami Gautam is Very Excited About OMG 2 for This Reason, Said in Mann Ki Baat
Yami Gautam is all set to star in the upcoming sequel to the 2008 comedy-drama film, OMG: Oh My God! The film, which is titled OMG 2, is directed by Umesh Shukla and also stars Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi.
In a recent interview, Gautam spoke about her excitement for the film and revealed that she was particularly drawn to the film’s message of religious tolerance.
“I am very excited about OMG 2,” Gautam said. “It is a film that is very close to my heart. The message of the film is very important, especially in today’s times. I am glad to be a part of a film that is trying to make a difference.”
Gautam also spoke about her experience working with Shukla and Kumar.
“Umesh Shukla is a brilliant director,” Gautam said. “He has a great understanding of comedy and drama. I am really enjoying working with him. Akshay Kumar is a great actor and a wonderful human being. I am learning a lot from him.”
Gautam also revealed that she was inspired by the original OMG film.
“I loved the original OMG film,” Gautam said. “It was a very thought-provoking film. I am glad that I am getting a chance to be a part of the sequel.”
OMG 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 2, 2023.
In a recent episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke about OMG 2. He praised the film for its message of religious tolerance and said that it was a film that everyone should watch.
“OMG 2 is a film that everyone should watch,” Modi said. “It is a film that will make you think about the importance of religious tolerance. It is a film that will make you feel proud to be an Indian.”
