Arizona must have inspired Dr. Seuss. The rock formations are a sort of confectioner’s design. It’s as if — millennia ago — a giant-sized trow raked across soft red earth with cream cheese. I call White Pocket the plasterwork of the gods. This off-the-beaten-path spot was one of many I visited in May 2016.
