    “@68Vet
Baja California and back to Sacramento in a slant six Dart? That is an absolute adventure and proof positive that these cars were built for exactly that kind of journey. No drama, no breakdowns, just mile after mile of honest reliable transportation through some pretty unforgiving terrain. That slant six was one of the toughest engines ever bolted into an American car and your story is a perfect reminder of that.
Thank you for sharing that memory and for the kind words. That is…”

“This 599 is an earlier production as in the later production for 2007 the ceramic brakes became standard. Also, Ferrari jacked up the base price from $258k to $321k base price. Significantly increased the cost. These cars are appreciating fast. F-1 transmission is a very nice transmission in my opinion even though general public prefers the clutch version. Good luck.”

    “A layman’s view.
In 1987, at the age of 27, I quit my job and travelled to Europe for my 1st time for a 6-month adventure. After skiing a few areas in the Alps, I made my way north, as far as Bergen, Norway. Summer had arrived, and I wanted to have some beach fun.
The section on France in the Frommer’s Guide had many pages on the Mediterranean Coast, but few on the Atlantic.
I decided on a road less travelled, the Atlantic. To my pleasant surprise, I discovered a magnificent area…”

“Nobody paid much attention when the old Dodge arrived.
A 1970 Dodge Polara Police Pursuit sedan painted in authentic black and white with a 440 Magnum under the hood wasn’t exactly subtle. Long, square-jawed, and purposeful, it looked ready to issue citations despite having been retired for decades. Still, at Fort Stockton’s annual Classic Car Roundup, it found itself parked between a candy-apple red Corvette and a turquoise Thunderbird convertible. Compared to chrome and tailfins, an old…”

“The missile appeared at Earl’s Salvage Yard & Formalwear on a Tuesday morning.
At least that was what Hairless B29 called it when he walked into the Grounds for Divorce and announced that Earl had acquired a rocket.
Angus Hopper continued buttering his toast.
    “How big?”
    “Three feet, maybe.”
Angus looked up. “That ain’t much of a rocket.”
    “It’s streamlined.”
This was apparently sufficient evidence to bring Rex Hall into the investigation. By nine…”

As an automotive magazine publisher, editor and motor journalist in the ’80s and ’90s, I was privileged to attend many unique and amazing press functions and receive highly-specialized literature regarding the cars being launched. From the Highlands of Scotland to the South of France. From the US Continental Divide to the jungles and rain forests of Guatemala and Belize. Just the right street car for getting the blood pumping, without needing to get crazy to do it. A simple and easily maintainable build, with no exotic or exceptionally expensive components, and easy access to pretty much everything. It seems like a car that can happily sit on a battery tender, with some fuel stabilizer, and be…”
