“Wow! Owner of touring #9 here. Hope to see a second B8 4.6 touring come to the US! If the new owner is US based, please find me. “This is SW, this car belonged to me for quite a while. I purchased it as a 4 speed A/C car. It was extremely nice, straight with a beautiful undercarriage, which was the main reason I bought it. The Paint was nice but I am very picky so we disassembled it and had it blocked and resprayed. It drove amazingly well. After a few years I sold it to a friend so I wouldn’t take it apart and make it a restomod like all my others. He had a 5speed installed, drove it some but since he owns over 75 other…”

“Mezger engine block was literally built to be wailed on at redline for 24 hrs straight, it’s nearly impossible to destroy it, you have to be intentionally holding it past redline for probably 1 hr+.
Reminds me of the old cash for clunkers video where they emptied the oil pan on an 80 series landcruiser, put it in neutral, and floored it. It took like 20+ mins at past redline for the engine to give out with no lubrication.”

“I have and would drive any 200 cross country. Bring a couple spanners 10mm 13 mm pop into advance grab some coolant and oil, bring an extra thermostat and you should be good to go.
If coming west stay off 80 at night when rainy lol. 200’s are the best when on point.”

This one won’t be restored nor turned for profit, but it will be driven in the desert southwest and turn over 100,000 miles within a year or so. I drive ’em, I don’t show them or brag about them. “Awesome car. I love pic 149 because it tells a story of what likely happened to most radio delete Camaros in the early 80s when these cars were cheap enough to be purchased by teenagers who would not be caught dead in a car with no tunes. I can see the kid with his dad’s hacksaw, tin snips and pliers lying on his back in that trunk going to town. A couple hours later, with his brand new Jensen Tri-Axials installed, he’s cruising around town with tunes blaring. Radio delete option be damned!!”
