“Ford used the turbo fours in the mid-80’s to position themselves for higher gas prices. Fantastic, future-focused cars like the Mustang SVO, Merkur XR4Ti, Thunderbird Turbo Coupe…and then gas prices fell and the Mustang GT became the star. The SVO has one of the most unique (and short-lived, and polarizing) front end designs in Mustang history. This is a great example and should be fun to watch!”

Straight water freezing in them is the #1 block cracker.
Most times in the lifter valley.

1972 455 HO 2-piece Intake
Correct 7041267 carb with legit stampings and proper date code.
Cracked/Repaired exhaust manifolds.

So safe to say you will be fine if you use 98 octane unleaded fuel which is generally available at the track or from any respected vendor.”

“………..calypso red 740i. That sparked a two year search for the “right for me” e38. I was very lucky to find a 2001 740i sport with only 27k miles, which is still sitting in my garage with approx. 30k miles. It still brings me back to the memory of the calypso red e38 in the showroom and the love affair continues.”
