“Ahhh, the Saab night mode. Easily one of the coolest features ever put in a car. Wish we could have Saabs still being released today, they were so cheeky”

Slam second you better be hanging on and sitting foward. The only race I ever lost was to a Ferrari. Smoked him off the line. 120 I looked in the mirror. Too late, just then he blew by me like I was standing still. At 150 came around the next bend. He was just a red speck. Going around the next turn. Ah to be young. Slowly…”

“When I look at this listing I can feel Anne’s arms around my waist. Both of us sixteen. Laughing with each other as we sped around sludgoville on those hot summer nights back in ’77 on the bike I picked up for a couple-hundred bucks from a buddy who needed the cash. No helmets. No leathers. Just being kids who thought we were immortal. These days I’m holding on to those moments of youth you can never really hold on to, only remember. But tonight, on this silly website, I can still smell her…”

It must have been so much fun being a car designer during this era. Styling and thinking of the next big thing was the competitive differentiator then. And let’s not forget about the space age influence that began to appear in the late 50s.
    Nice car and restoration @seller.”

“This jeep has been great to own for over 31 years. I just decided that it is time to move on and find a buyer who will appreciate it and take care of it like I have. It was one of the very last to be built with a 5-speed manual transmission, which makes it a rare find. I welcome any questions that buyers may have. Thank you for your interest.”

“That’s legit and 100% original IMHO. Worked at a Schwinn shop as a kid and put together a few of those. A lot of people (cool kids) ditched the front fender. That’s the original seat. Those are the original pedals. This is all recollection but very clear. . They were wheelie machines and no fun whatsoever to get up a hill! An early but awesome memory! GLWTA!”

“I went through the police academy in one of these back in 1997. No Crown Vic could out run or out maneuver this car when we played cops and robbers on the obstacle course. It was hands down a superior car in terms of handling and horsepower. Every time I see one I’m taken back to the driving portion of the academy. Fond memories.”

“Love that area of Wisconsin. Two of my three nephews live in Madison now – gorgeous city. We visited often when I was a kid and Pop was into camping with the Starcraft. Made many a stop at Wisconsin Dells and remember it just as you describe! Sincere condolences on the passing of your mother (and untimely/early passage of your father). It reminded me this morning to cherish whatever time I have left with the Beehive. Have a blast with the Honda – another wonderful memory machine for me – and…”

“FAC’s faced the worst survival rate of any US aviators stationed in SE Asia. The job required amazing feats of flight on a daily basis. They had to manage a bank of radios to simultaneously coordinate and communicate with the ground troops they supported, the air assets that delivered ordnance and the headquarters that authorized the strikes. The marker rockets they laid down showed the fighter bombers where to hit, usually perilously close to our troops fighting for their lives. Any…”
