“I own both a Ghibli and a Daytona and although I really like the Daytona the Ghibli is my go to car for long drives or if I anticipate stop and go traffic. Both cars have beautiful lines. The Ghibli is more reliable and more user friendly. The steering wheel can be adjusted up/down and the seat back is adjustable. No such luck on the Daytona. This car has power steering while the Daytona feels like a truck at slow speed.

“In 1967, my dad informed me that he had purchased, with my savings, 1960 Falcon with 60K miles for $325.00.
While it would not have been my choice, I was excited to enter the world of independence from walking, bicycling and public transportation.

“My first car was a 73 4 door custom. White with black vinyl roof and bondo fenders my Dad did with chicken wire. Slant 6 with an FM converter added that also picked up TV stations. Also had a 70 340 Swinger in HEMI orange for a few years. I have a soft spot for 70’s Darts. GLWTA!”

“I remember back in the mid to late 80s, collectors were buying big blocks C2’s, but stayed away from split windows, telling everybody nobody wants them, hard to see out of the back, blah, blah blah! Funny how times have changed.

“@RTCH having worked at David Hobbs Honda in 2000, when they debuted in the US. Apparently, at least for the initial wave or first year, dealerships had the option having all their S2000s fully equipped with aero accessories or non of them equipped. Not sure how long that lasted, but Hobbs had all the initial S2000s equipped. When the first ones arrived at the dealership everything came to a halt, all employees came outside to gawk while David and Greg inspected and tested them for about 30…”

“My parents bought a white 65 Notch in the mid 70s from people that had toured Europe in it. It was the car I finally passed my fourth driver license test in . I know , go ahead and lol. Dad made me take the 1st in a 2wd, straight six, three on the tree suburban with no power steering. 2nd in a 2wd , 302 v8 IH Scout with the stiff lurchy clutch that gave you the Jimmy leg. Neither one worked well for a skinny 16 year old. 3rd didn’t leave the DMV because I “didn’t adjust the mirrors” , after…”

“I ordered one of these, a British Racing Green unit in NYC and put $25 down on it. It was priced at $6641.00. I didn’t inherit any money when I turned 21 like I told the dealer I might and had to release it to sell to someone else. It did show up on the showroom floor and that was the last time I saw it. I later converted the front of my MGA to look like a cobra… and then changed it back when I made it my first race car… This was in 1965.”
