“What a fantastic driving video!
Maserati’s 200S and Si were giant killers in their day with only the bigger engined Ferrari 860 Monza/290MM, 315 and 335 Sports able to keep up. The Maserati 300S and 450S were faster but never had the breaking or handling of the 200S and Si models.
This is by far one of the best and the spares package alone worth the currently humble bid!

I’ve only once seen a cammer swap as nice as this and it was supposedly done by KK as an experimental along with one they build as a mid-engine Boss 9 (both fastback Mustangs).
What’s so clever about this is you’d never expect it. The level of street sleeper, slack jaw, dumbdoundery here is off the charts. Roll up in this anywhere and get affirming nods, then open the hood and prepare for the cult of engine worship to begin their drooling genuflections.…”

“340 vs 383 the 340 wins. Not only in a straight line but especially on a winding road. The small block with the well designed chassis corners like a sports car. To be fair, these days the restrictive 383 exhaust can be relieved with contemporary under-chassis headers and the big block can be as light as a small block with aluminum heads, intake and water pump housing. Throw in a stroker crank for 500ci and it will get interesting.

Midway through the loop, which was about thirty miles on various roads, we merged onto a local interstate at about 90 mph. “My Dad was a district service manager for GM in the 90s and early 2000’s and as a part of that we would get a new demo car to drive every couple mos. After the dismal launch of the Aztec in 2000, GM wanted to get make the best out of a bad situation so they gave them to every service manager in the country to “get the word out”.
