A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:

“The 330 GTC has always been a favorite of mine. And the 512BB. When I was first working out of college in the early ’80’s my wife and I honeymooned in San Francisco and I dragged her to Ferrari Los Gatos, and there on the floor were my two dream cars, a 330 GTC sitting next to a 512BB. I remember them being in the $25 – $35K range? And thinking, I’ll be able to afford one of those. Unfortunately life intervened and prices for these cars increased but I was finally able to realize a dream…”

“Thanks to all bidders. I fell in love with the 904 when I first saw one in the 1980’s. I think it the most beautiful care design ever. Thats why I had to have the Beck 904. I started discussing the car with Chuck Beck in early 2020, and pulled the trigger in October of 2020. It was a 3 year build process, and I visited the factory many times during the build. My wife was involved too, and picked out the interior colors. I think it turned out nicely. Thanks for all the positive comments.”

“The 505 wagon, IMHO, is one of the great longroofs. They endure rugged conditions in Africa without complaint. The 4 cylinder engine is about as indestructible as they get. Cargo capacity is unmatched. Yet the ride is so so comfy. Best seats anywhere. The video shows it off well.”

“That fuse panel is as good as it gets for 48 years old, no wiring hacks, clean relay blocks, no signs of burnt fuse terminals. And all the fuse positions have the correct fuse in them, and fuse 13 is supposed to be empty. Gotta love the hand-painted stripes on many of the wires, these early cars are full of little easter eggs like that.
Definitely worth the hassle of getting the pics to instill bidder confidence!”

    “Ok
So while we were setting up Rally 1
Mike Z who ran the Saleen shop floor set up a red door complete with gurney bubble on a small dolly door stand. For display and option for people coming to have your door converted.
Of course vin 1314 / signature car owner / Me wanted it that day to swap on my red car for the event!
The door was display only because it was a blemish / defect door and not complete , hence the parts missing on this door!
I think Bony had the first bubble after Gurney…”

“This seems to be an outstanding example of one of these rare and truly extraordinary cars. I had my ’15 V12VS Coupe (Sportshift III) out today. People obviously differ regarding what they want from a car, but for me, it really doesn’t get much better than this among modern cars. In addition to all the things that make Aston Martins special, the V12 Vantage S is an absolutely fantastic thing to DRIVE. The engine — performance, smoothness and sound (not sure any car made in the last 40 years…”

This project has certainly helped me as a 15T Blackhawk mechanic to pick up aviation terminolgy easier. I wouldn’t have had the start I did without your help. “The Lexus LS430 was built at the moment when the pursuit of perfection and the economics of mass production briefly coincided. That window has closed; it may not open again in our lifetime. And so these cars matter—not for what they are worth in dollars, but for what they prove: that it was possible, that once, for six years in a factory in Tahara, Japan, human beings got as close to perfect as human beings have ever got in the building of a motorcar. And then they stopped, and we moved on……”
