4/3 Day Experiences for Charity, from the Block Family and the 43 Institute

Update: today is 4/3, and it’s the last day to bid on these incredible charity experiences. And rember, all proceeds will benefit the non-profit 43 Institute!

Ken Block left us three years ago, but his impact changed the world of motorsports forever. To preserve his legacy, the Block family established 43 Institute, a 501(C)(3) non-profit with a mission to provide scholarships, mentorship, and opportunities to “motivated misfits” like Ken whose paths in the world are anything but linear. To support 43i, a collection of Ken’s friends and family from the motorsports world have come together to offer an entire collection of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and we’re honored that they’ve chosen to offer them on Bring a Trailer. These are no wine-and-cheese tours—they are bucket-list outings for those who have watched a Gymkhana or rally video and thought, “I wish I could do that.”

Pikes Peak International Hill Climb VIP Ride-Along Experience w/Jeff Zwart for 43 Institute

Jeff Zwart needs no introduction around these parts. His automotive photography is known the world over, and his accomplishments behind the wheel are no less impressive. There is perhaps no event more associated with Mr. Zwart than the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which he has run 20 times, won his class in eight times, and thrice completed in less than 10 minutes. This experience is a full weekend of VIP access to the madness that is Pikes Peak, anchored by a ride to the top with Zwart in a Porsche 911 GT3 during the Friday practice session, followed by a cool-down at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb’s Fan Fest, a 10-block street party in downtown Colorado Springs. There is a private reception, a private tour at the Penrose Heritage Museum, access to the hospitality tent and VIP seats for the event itself, and accommodations at the Broadmoor Resort for one night. You’ll also get to wave the green flag, and take it home with you after.

Pastranaland Experience w/Travis Pastrana for 43 Institute

X Games legend Travis Pastrana purchased his Annapolis compound at the age of 17, and today we know it as Pastranaland. Over the years, it’s evolved into both his personal playground and training compound, around which he rips two- and four-wheeled machines alike. The auction winner can bring up to five guests for a day of personalized coaching and action sports sessions on the property’s motocross tracks, pit bike tracks, rally courses, and skate parks. Tuthill Below Zero Ice Driving Experience for 43 Institute

Off to Sweden goes the winner of this auction and one guest, to drift a rally-prepped Porsche 911 across the frozen surface of Lake Åresjön on a groomed 12-kilometer ice track. This experience comes courtesy of Tuthill Porsche in the UK, who have been building rally-winning Porsches for 40 years, and includes professional instruction and a whole lot of seat time. The clinic is staged by Below Zero in Åre, and every year it’s sold out with a lengthy waitlist. This is a chance to jump the line, and includes local transportation and a meal over the course of the day.

Rally Ranch Experience w/Bucky Lasek for 43 Institute

Rally Ready Driving School, founded by Dave Carapetyan, has long served as a proving ground for the Block family and a hub for serious rally instruction. The winning bidder will be put behind the wheel of a rally-prepped racer for a one-day instruction experience—including left-foot braking, terrain scanning, and vision techniques—with rallycross driver and professional skateboarder Bucky Lasek and the Rally Ready team. The crew will custom-tailor the curriculum to suit your skills and goals; you’ll also enjoy a mid-day fishing retreat along with a catered lunch.

RTR Lab Experience w/Vaughn Gittin Jr. for 43 Institute

Vaughn Gittin Jr. is a Formula Drift champion, founder of RTR Vehicles, and one of the most respected drivers in American motorsport, especially when it comes to driving sideways. Gittin and Block were friends and competitors for many years, and he is supporting 43 Institute by hosting the auction winner at his RTR Lab facility in Concord, North Carolina, where his cars are built and prepped. The experience will culminate with a drift demo in Vaughn’s 1,000-horsepower 2025 Mustang RTR Spec 5-D, with the man himself behind the wheel. Once the vertigo has subsided, a lunch of North Carolina BBQ will be provided (don’t sleep on that!). A race-used steering wheel signed by Gittin will be his gift to the winner. Bring a change of clothes, because you’re going to smell like tire smoke.

Trophy Truck Ride-Along Experience w/Terrible Herbst Motorsports for 43 Institute

Baja racing runs deep in the Herbst family, who have been competing in the sport for more than 40 years. Father Jerry Herbst notched his first SCORE Baja 500 win in 1970, and the family continues to campaign today. The winning bidder and a guest will join Terrible Herbst Motorsports for a one-day experience in Jean, Nevada, or Barstow, California, in preparation for the 2026 running, including a testing session and a ride-along in one of their kitted-out Trophy Trucks. Domestic round-trip airfare to and from Las Vegas is included, as well as team swag and a two-night stay at the South Point Hotel, Casino, and Spa.

Stryker Rally Experience w/Cole Powelson at Block Family Ranch for 43 Institute

The winner of this auction, along with three guests, will head out to the Block family’s private off-road track in Kamas, Utah, to drive a Stryker Rogue Maverick—a purpose-built machine constructed over a custom chassis and powered by a turbocharged Rotax engine. This UTV was also the first of its kind to compete in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Open Wheel class, and the day includes a one-on-one coaching session with class champion Cole Powelson. After you’ve knocked all the dirt out from between your teeth, enjoy a catered lunch with the Block family.
