“I love seeing this. A Porsche driven just like it was built to do.
My wife and I drove our 1982 181k miles. Sold it in 2015 with 195k miles. Original owner only drove it 14k miles in his4 year ownership. He missed out.
I miss that car! Oh, side note! One day when I took her in for service there was one just like ours on the rack. She had 425k miles on it. Made me jealous.”

“TA rear spoilers rarely fit well, especially original cars, and even more so 79-81 cars with their urethane corner pieces. The later corner pieces also tend to appear as slightly different colors, and tend to fade to the point where the urethane is visible.
This car shows exceptionally well. I personally wouldn’t touch a thing in terms of overall appearance. This is certainly a rare offering amongst later TAs!”

“A ton of period chrome doo dads added to this bike. I can see both sets of floor boards, all hand controls, grips, shifter pegs and foot brake, fork lowers, crash bars, most of the case covers, and others I might not be seeing. That dual exhaust alone was probably $1k. That’s what we did to these bikes back in the day!”

“Great 914. Had a set of American Le Mans waiting in my parents garage while waiting for my 914 in gold metallic . Mine was born in JAN 71 so I missed on first year of production. I still very much enjoy this car today and the stock wheels and hubcaps are still in the American Racing boxes 55 years later. The 1.7 had more HP & torque than the 1.8 and makes for a great driver.”

“I have owned five Mexicos and 13 Ghibli’s over the last 25 years and theses are such great cars . Mexicos are very similar to the Ghibli as they share many mechanical components and the same parts book. Dry sump for the Ghibli and wet for the Mexico. both cars on BAT currently are very nice examples. I used to own a Maserati Restoration company in Santa Barbara CA and had many Maserati Gt from the 50s thru the early 70s come thru my care. My fav was a 1969 4.7 Mexico with power steering Oxford…”

“Gorgeous! I drove an ‘85 all through college in the ‘90s. Even through the Michigan winters. So many fun times in that car! I sold it with around 150,000 miles on it. Years later i ran into the woman that bought it. She had 220,000 miles on it. Fenders were falling apart with rust. But that in-line 6 still ran like a top!”

Gary Hall, whose wife used one as a daily driver (!)… told me to correct the odd handling , you need to change to larger shocks, change spring rates, change to stiffer suspension bushings, change tire pressures with radial tires. I did on my earlier car #804 and it worked wonders! My current cat #1096 has updated revisions including QA-1 shocks, springs and factory updated engine and transmission mounts. It drives flawlessly.
