A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:

“When they were introduced could not sell what had been planned for U.S. mkt and some returned to Europe. Those sold here went down in value for awhile and then…. Mine was not taken by first purchaser when it arrived at dealer. I had originally turned the allocation but took it. Early comments from an owner captures it. Fantastic sound, torque, manual, no turbo, compliant suspension, smiles everytime”

Straight water freezing in them is the #1 block cracker.
Most times in the lifter valley.
71 YG code 455 , 2bbl Automatic application. 2bolt mains.
Correct application #197 455 HO heads
1972 455 HO 2-piece Intake
Correct 7041267 carb with legit stampings and proper date code.
Cracked/Repaired exhaust manifolds.
All that was covered in days gone by.”

As a TCR car homologated by the FIA for championships around the world, “it’s mandatory to use Racing Certified TCR fuel with at least 98RON Unleaded.”
So safe to say you will be fine if you use 98 octane unleaded fuel which is generally available at the track or from any respected vendor.”

“It’s incredible to see the one-year only chromed exhaust extensions! They were unique to 1975 Formulas and 400-powered Trans Ams.
For record, the chromed splitters, which were introduced on the 1974 GTO were included with the Trans Am’s “455 HO” package introduced in midyear 1975 and used throughout the remainder of the 1970s and into the 1980s.”

“When I was 17 my best friend bought almost this same car – his was actually a ‘67 but they look the same to me. At the time it was an 8 year old used car, bought for $800
What a great car that was! Some of my favorite memories are cruising with my best friend in the Cadillac listening to Led Zeppelin. A true Party Barge! He passed away last year, still my best friend. Thanks for the memories”

“Anyone with the wrenching skills and the work space could have a lot of fun with this. Forget show car status, this is a drive it while you play with it diamond in the rough. First, pay the bucks to get an expert diagnosis of the issues. The interior looks more than serviceable so just get it running right…not perfect, just safely drivable. You now have a great project (father and son?) that will constantly reward your efforts. Take your time going through the mechanical needs…then move on…”

“All of a sudden it’s 2003, I’m in my parents’ living room putting Need for Speed Underground into my Gamecube. I’ve got a Focus with green underglow and nitrous. It’s built to dominate the circuit races, but I need a better car for drifting. My dad helps me with some of the tougher races – we’re gonna watch some Monster Garage after we get a few races in.
Shoot… I might just go into my own living room now and pop the game into the Gamecube. For old time’s sake.”

“I have an extensive amount of hands on detailing and reconditioning experience with the W126 model over the past 25 plus years, and its so nice to see such a well preserved low mileage example. This is such a period cool color combination, and the brown leather is so clean and well preserved !!!
I would LOVE to personally own a car like this, but I would probably double the mileage within the first year if I did. Such a great driving car, and in my opinion the W126 is way up high at the top…”
