“This car always stuck out with ONE simple metric that I read back when it was being tested… 50mph to 75mph, it beat out the Testarossa and Porsche Carrera 4.
I think we know a hybrid RAV4 today could probably do this, but in period it blew my socks off to know this.

Gary Hall, whose wife used one as a daily driver (!)… told me to correct the odd handling , you need to change to larger shocks, change spring rates, change to stiffer suspension bushings, change tire pressures with radial tires. I did on my earlier car #804 and it worked wonders! My current cat #1096 has updated revisions including QA-1 shocks, springs and factory updated engine and transmission mounts. It drives flawlessly. Every time I see one of these it brings back really good memories. And trust me these things were built Ford tough. all the door jams on the early cars like this one we’re all painted my hand.
