“This car appears to be the very car that AK built for road racing, then retired it for show car duty. I was hired by Hooters at the start of the 92 season to take the car to many of the Hooters restaurants for display. I also make several commercials driving the car at different racetracks, and some were televised on national tv that year. I have such fond memories of the years working for Hooters and with Alan at many of his appearances at the restaurants. I continued on with Hooters in a…”

“Ford used the turbo fours in the mid-80’s to position themselves for higher gas prices. Fantastic, future-focused cars like the Mustang SVO, Merkur XR4Ti, Thunderbird Turbo Coupe…and then gas prices fell and the Mustang GT became the star. The SVO has one of the most unique (and short-lived, and polarizing) front end designs in Mustang history. This is a great example and should be fun to watch!”

“Guys, knowing Chris personally, and seeing all the cars that they done live at they museum, and me being in S30 business for 23 years, restoring these cars from ground up (at DCWClassic) – i can clearly state – theres NO better 240z restored / rebuild at this moment. None. This sets a standart for everyone else.”

“Former owner of this car, here. This was one of the best running and funnest driving 911’s I have ever owned. The E model has smaller numbers, but probably is the best driving street machine out of all the early cars. 1972 model to boot! For a little background, this car was purchased brand new by an airline 747 captain living in Tiburon, CA. Years later I find myself working for that same airline. A few years back I was flying with a guy on a multi day trip. We were shooting the breeze while…”

    -Stupid reliable.
-Powerful enough to explore in the mountains and pull a boat to the lake.
    -Always classy. Always adventurous.
-Good for one person, and good for a family.
    -Safe.
-Enough tech to be convenient, but not too much to get in the way.”

I race my Datsun 510 in the historic B Sedan class against many of the cars supported by Jim at vintage events. The cars under his tent are always extremely well prepared, highly competitive, and generally with great history. I’m in. Let’s see where this baby ends up. “In 1967, my dad informed me that he had purchased, with my savings, 1960 Falcon with 60K miles for $325.00.
While it would not have been my choice, I was excited to enter the world of independence from walking, bicycling and public transportation.
The 144 ci engine didn’t last long with my heavy foot and the constant diet of re-refined oil I fed it from our local Site gas station.
I found a 260 at the junk yard and that was a great improvement.
