There were far more parts available for small block Chevys either through catalogs like J.C. Whitney, or in junkyards, which were chock full of them. And, hey, if it ain’t broke…why fix it? “Folks, the Gen 5 Viper was the epitome of everything great with cars. Manual transmission, rear wheel drive, hydraulic steering, and beautiful art inside and out with modern day technology. They will never make cars like this again and nothing made right now even matches the visceral feel of this. When you have mass produced 911s going for 200-500k, it’s amazing that this is not going for more than 500k. Those cars are so boring compared to this!”
