Here’s event Coverage: BaT Gathering with Local Partner 911r at the Rose Cup Races in Portland, Oregon

Portland may as well have greeted us with a bouquet of literal roses. We had a great time with our wonderful hosts at Portland International Raceway, and the turnout was stellar. What better way to say it than this, from our friends at Avant-Garde Collection:

“What a fine Saturday morning it was for a Bring a Trailer Gathering at the 2026 FOPIR Rose Cup Races! We filled the entire display field on the front straight of PIR and welcomed enthusiasts driving all types of cool vehicles. We handed out lots of 911r merchandise and BaT provided commemorative event posters to attendees.

Thank you to all who came out and took part in this special gathering at the Rose Cup Races. It’s events and moments like this that make the automotive community so special when everyone comes together!”

We couldn’t agree more—that’s why we’re always planning more events and expanding our roster of amazing people to do them with.

Highlights at PIR (among far too many more to list): the Busso-powered Lister Bell Stratos replica brought by BaT regular @ABikePeddler; an Italo-American monster in the form of a T-bucket with a Maserati 4.9L V8; a distinctive 1970 Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato; not one, but two 964 Carrera RS N/GTs (in Mint Green and Rubystone, naturally); the cleanest Chrysler Conquest TSi we’ve seen since 1989; and a swoopy blue Jag XK140 with subtle nods and mods that made all the difference in the world.

We handed out free merch and refreshments as usual, and the Pacific Northwest gave us perfect temperatures with the morning overcast burning off to a pleasant sunny summer day.

Speaking of “free,” we awarded a set of tires—courtesy of our friends and partners at Michelin—to Kevin, the owner of a lovely 1973 BMW 2002 tii sunroof coupe.

7/10 Update: Our display field is now full, but everyone is still welcome to join us as a spectator with admission to the track. Visit us tomorrow, July 11, during the Rose Cup Races—we’ll be north of the Beaches (near the area marked “G” on the map), right off the pedestrian bridge on the front straight, from 9:00am to 2:00pm with smiling faces and coveted commemorative merch. We hope to see you there!

We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a Bring a Trailer Gathering at this year’s Rose Cup Races—held at Portland International Raceway in Portland, Oregon—with BaT seller and Local Partner @911r of Avant-Garde Collection. Join us on Saturday, July 11, from 9:00am to 2:00pm—it’s looking to be a great time!

Since 1961, the Rose Cup Races have been a fixture at Portland International Raceway and a cornerstone of Pacific Northwest racing. The event features six race groups for 2026, with the West Coast Series from Porsche Club of America being this year’s newest class.

If you’d like to display a car you purchased on BaT (or another interesting or special vehicle) with us at the July 11 Gathering, please let us know by filling out this interest form. We’ll prioritize parking spots for vehicles bought on BaT, but will also host as many other compelling cars, trucks, and motorcycles as space allows! Once you’ve filled out the form, we’ll be in contact to let you know if we can accommodate you and your vehicle. If accepted, we’ll also provide free Saturday race tickets (and complimentary refreshments) for you plus one guest.
