“Got my drivers license when my dad bought one of these in 1963 used. I never got a ticket or bent it, but saw the speedo tick 130 on the Medford viaduct one Sunday morning early, lifters clattering away when I reached the end! Fun car in the day!”

“I drove a 2012 manual Fit for three years before I lost it in a flood trying to cross an underpass. They float extremely well by the way.
It was SO much fun to drive. It fit two bikes in the back with the seats up. Storage was best. I’ve not had a similar size car since that was as enjoyable. The Fiesta ST is a close second but the FIT had better (less) torque steer when burning the tires in the wet. It would get rubber past 2nd gear on moist roads.
Indestructible….unless you drive it…”

“Gotta love ❤️ 84.9 CENT/gal gas on 10 JAN 1994. Seriously, this 2nd Gen (1992) Honda Wagon is virtually identical to the one our family drove from that year to 2009 with zero issues. It was the reason I got another white 1993, virtually identical to this one, on BaT recently to relive the best car ever. It actually has a little “Grannymobile” sticker on the rear window. GLWTA!”

“I knew this was a California car as soon as I saw the chrome wheels. In the 90s, my uncle, who was a doctor in Newport Beach, bought this exact same spec. As a kid who was used to being toted around in spartan Volvos, I thought it was the fanciest car I had ever sat in.
FWIW early 1UZ-FEs are non-interference engines so timing belt failure (which is rare) is not necessarily catastrophic.”

Fantastic, future-focused cars like the Mustang SVO, Merkur XR4Ti, Thunderbird Turbo Coupe…and then gas prices fell and the Mustang GT became the star. The SVO has one of the most unique (and short-lived, and polarizing) front end designs in Mustang history. This is a great example and should be fun to watch!”
