“What an incredible experience it’d be to drive Carroll Shelby’s GT500 along the Greek coast, windows down, as the sun sets in the Mediterranean before shipping this to its new home.”

    What a magnificent machine!

“Beautiful car. I started at Cadillac in 1957 and the finished Broughams were moved to the executive garage for final inspection and cleanup. I had a small part of that process.
Later in the early 1960s when I worked in the Cadillac parts warehouse on Riopelle and we were surprised by the volume of spring replacement spring kits we were selling for this car. I recall we sold more replacement kits than the number of Broughams built. In many cases Cadillac replaced the air bags with springs…”

“I purchased this great car in 1986 while I headed a family company in Calgary, Alberta. I flew to Victoria BC and was met by renowned Gullwing restorer Rudi Koniczek. He was selling the Ferrari which had been “Chunky” Woodward’s, part of a famed department store and ranching family in BC. I had only owned 356s and early 911s, so was nervous about my first V12 Ferrari. We took a lap of Victoria which will be forever etched in my memory. Spectacular car. I drove it to Calgary, right over the…”

“This 599 is an earlier production as in the later production for 2007 the ceramic brakes became standard. Also, Ferrari jacked up the base price from $258k to $321k base price. Significantly increased the cost. These cars are appreciating fast. F-1 transmission is a very nice transmission in my opinion even though general public prefers the clutch version. Good luck.”

    “A layman’s view.
In 1987, at the age of 27, I quit my job and travelled to Europe for my 1st time for a 6-month adventure. After skiing a few areas in the Alps, I made my way north, as far as Bergen, Norway. Summer had arrived, and I wanted to have some beach fun.
The section on France in the Frommer’s Guide had many pages on the Mediterranean Coast, but few on the Atlantic.
I decided on a road less travelled, the Atlantic. To my pleasant surprise, I discovered a magnificent area…”

“I have an old family friend (89 years young) that I showed these pictures to that has been a wood carver all his life and has made some exquisite pieces of animals, custom stair cases, door frames and such using a chain saw and wood chisels and a lot of sanding. He was really impressed and spent a half hour flicking between the photos and commenting on the details presented here with the biggest smile. “Having owned a few examples of every iteration of the VW bus, I consider the 1978 to be the best year. The driving experience is really hard to beat in any vehicle. IYKYK. So many have been downgraded with carburetors. I drove a 78 all over the US and back and forth to Alaska in the 1990s. Used it to start my business in Northern Minnesota where I drove it year round for several years. I jump started many a neighbors cars and trucks. Interesting point- a member of a new new bluegrass band in…”

“This is an amazing car, I remember seeing it at Nth Moto many years ago. Every S7 is special, but this one being modified to “11” by Nth Moto (probably the best bespoke high performance shop in the country) makes it even moreso. If anyone is hesitant about this being modified, don’t be. Whether it’s Viper, Ford GT, Lambo, etc anything Nth Moto touches turns out exceptional and their quality of work is better than OEM. Good luck with the auction, seller. Beautiful car.”

I remembered that Tom Matano was there with a De Tomaso I had never seen. In recent years, I’ve been trying to remember what it was. Thanks for solving my dilemma! I remember it as being small.”
