A few of the comments that stood out to us yesterday:
“Looking through the photos at the hand built beauty of this Cheetah is a reminder of a time when a bunch of guys with a dream could put something like this together.
Some chrome moly, fiberglass and a bunch of odd parts and down the road you go. Like when my dad and I built a go cart from a Sears catalogue and a Briggs and Stratton lawn mower motor.
Miss those days.”
“In the summer of 1971, my parents took my brother, sister and me across country in a 67 Camaro 327 Sport Coupe towing a U-Haul covered trailer from Los Angeles to New Jersey. We were 13, 11 and 6 years old and it was tight back there, but an adventure. So yeah, people put a hitch on anything with a V8 back in the day. Beautiful car. I can’t help but wonder if someone will go stock, or create a Bullitt clone.”

Quick story…my buddy was on @BAT yesterday, and he happened to see a 1972 Elkhart Green Corvette that looked a lot like the one my father used to own. He clicked on the link, and crazily, this car was located in Mentor, Ohio, not far from where we live. I know my father sold this car back in 2003 to someone local (he owned it since 1975), but I had no idea that it was still in the area. I basically lost track of it. Sure enough, the VIN checked…”
