@Stockpat97 Assuming you’re asking about cam belt replacement, the belt & tensioner are easily accessed with the radiator removed.
@Alfaman Right, not easy maneuvering the V6 into place but I’ve done it solo 3 times during the build. Once its in access around the engine is really not bad at all.”

“Dean Batchelor and Phil Hill agreed that if one has only one Ferrari, make it a 330 GTC. It does everything so well. As said, not only does it NOT need power steering, leave off all options including AC and Borrani wire wheels on these cars. The AC in this era had an ugly compressor, was very heavy and not very effective. Borrani’s are certainly beautiful but along with the attaching hardware are much heavier than the race proven Campagnolo disc wheels with their P car style provenance.…”

Very rare, look nearly identical to their garden variety siblings and the high desirability is based all around the engine.
Having a production car in 1972 with a redline of 7500-rpm was insane and the technology that went into that cylinder head was something the Europeans were not even doing until the next decade.
To some degree Nissan did themselves in, as the L-series grew to a 2.8L, a modified L28 could easily outgun a 432.…”

“I had one 50 years ago. Definitely fun and to say driving is a “vintage experience” doesn’t really cut it. It’s pretty much pre-war in feel, but with more power. You are exposed to the elements to about the same degree as a motorcycle with a windshield, and the chassis is the best British custom: suspension that allows you to drive over a dime and tell if it’s heads or tails, and tires with similar width to a current electric mountain bike.”

“In high school I drove a ’66 mustang with a 289 and a ’66 red convertible 6 cyl similar to this. I always really enjoyed the 6 cyl version. It was much easier to steer, and somehow felt more fun and nimble.
Still have the 289 (notchback, Ivy Green Metallic). It was my Mom’s car from new and has been lovingly taken care of. One day it will pass to my nephew.”

“Ah, the memories. Throwing those doors open to exit on a timed response only to have them not latch and come back on your hand, head, legs. Failing to latch the turret and spinning around on corners… enough to make you nauseous. Or backing in to the ATF with the M-60 not latched in the neutral position and bending the barrel (this actually happened). Maybe catching your boot on the door opening ledge and face planting. No one who rode in one doesn’t have an opinion on them.”

“I live in Great Falls and recognized the lead photo. The fellow that accumulated these had a beautiful collection of fully restored cars. He owned several bars in town and had a gorgeous 50’s Corvette in one of them, Classic 50’s Diner. I am guessing these are either donors or projects he ran out of time for. One’s demise will do that to you.”

“@MikeDrew what a truly wonderful comment and such a joy to read your first hand memories from the De Tomaso factory. Thank you for sharing this with all of us, it adds so much depth to the story of the Guarà.
You are absolutely right, this is the BMW powered version with the additional gear setup to align engine and gearbox. Early cars had the straight-cut gears and the later cars the helical gears, this Guarà Spyder fitted with the latter as you can softly hear in the driving video.…”
