“Even as a “Project” this Hispano-Suiza exudes and elegance few cars can match.
I suppose it may be because of my affinity for Packards, but a V-12 (with the exception of that dreadful thing used in the Lincoln Zephyr) always grabs my attention. I hope we will get to see this wonderful car completed.

“My first car was a 73 4 door custom. White with black vinyl roof and bondo fenders my Dad did with chicken wire. Slant 6 with an FM converter added that also picked up TV stations. Also had a 70 340 Swinger in HEMI orange for a few years. I have a soft spot for 70’s Darts. GLWTA!”

“Great to see this car here on @BaT. I remember my dad and Jan putting this sale together back in the early 2000’s.
The history of the car is so well documented. Jan wanted a factory car and Al new Dr. Falk from the early days of the FOC and when the car came up it was a good fit.
I did go to Luppi personally while on a trip to Italy in 2003 to get the materials for the interior.
Reading through this listing brings back a lot of great memories.

“Took the car for a spin yesterday with the owner. My track car frame of reference is a track modified GT4 and 997.1 C4 before that. What perhaps doesn’t come through in the videos is all the audible feedback. The boost comes on hard when the hammer is down, yet seems controlled when the throttle is feathered in a turn. When decelerating you get pleasant crackles and hear the excess boost being dumped. I think there is a learning curve on this car (at least for me) managing the power,…”

“The CKD cars assembled in Belgium were for tax purposes. The cars were shipped “body in white” with the drivetrain out of the car and no interior trim installed. Final assembly and paint were done in Belgium and avoided import taxes somewhere around 30%.

“The gap between the order date and the serialized date on the Marti report reminds me that Ford workers went on strike in the fall of 1976.
I had factory ordered a new Econoline 150 around the same time as this Bronco and I took delivery in January of 1977. My van was the same Midnight Metallic Blue as this Bronco. A Great color”
