“I worked on the development of these back at the start of my career as an engineer with Isuzu in Cerritos, CA. The prototype from Japan was purple and RHD which got lots of stares and thumbs up Super fun cars to drive. Drove it to Lake Tahoe through many fun roads. Handled pretty well for a SUV.”

I was hired by Hooters at the start of the 92 season to take the car to many of the Hooters restaurants for display. I also make several commercials driving the car at different racetracks, and some were televised on national tv that year. “Ford used the turbo fours in the mid-80’s to position themselves for higher gas prices. Fantastic, future-focused cars like the Mustang SVO, Merkur XR4Ti, Thunderbird Turbo Coupe…and then gas prices fell and the Mustang GT became the star. The SVO has one of the most unique (and short-lived, and polarizing) front end designs in Mustang history. This is a great example and should be fun to watch!”

“My Dad was a district service manager for GM in the 90s and early 2000’s and as a part of that we would get a new demo car to drive every couple mos. After the dismal launch of the Aztec in 2000, GM wanted to get make the best out of a bad situation so they gave them to every service manager in the country to “get the word out”.
When I turned 16 and got my license, we got the Aztek. Bright yellow if I recall correctly, and rather than the usual 3 mos cycle, we had it for a full 7 mos.…”

That said and cars aside, the one that got me was for the story, not so much the car. That’s a tall statement considering my self avowed love of Packards, which is well know here. And this one is a real corker! Oh, and the Delahaye is stunning too.
I chose the 1917 Packard owned by a young man so sadly lost in “The War to End All Wars.” The family was so devastated they couldn’t part with it, yet they couldn’t bear to see it either. In storage for forty…”

“I owned an ‘85 nearly identical to this. I drove it the way Carroll Shelby intended. I quickly installed the Mopar Performance logic module and after getting the timing dialed in and an AutoMeter boost gauge installed, I was even more ready to “Go Like Hell.” So, one Friday evening in the spring, I was laying down rubber in first and second gear at each stop.

“Automatics are great – First, generally driven less spiritedly over their lifetime. Second, the automatic is actually very good. My auto on back roads, 2nd gear could go from about 25 mph to 70 mph. Often with a group of other 02s, I would be pushing the car in front of me that was modified. Third, the auto works while you find that 5 speed that is wider than a 4 speed and what else is wider? The tunnel in an automatic. No hammer needed for installation.

“I own a 1938 Flying Squirrel. The engine number is one digit away from this bike and the frame number is two digits away. When I contacted the Scott Club Registry to authenticate my bike I was advised that 220 Flying Squirrels were produced (500cc and 600cc versions combined) in 1938. The whereabouts of 101 were known. Of those, twenty had the redesigned detachable head as does this bike. GLWTS”
