4th Koh Larn Cup Football Tournament Kicks Off in Pattaya

The 4th Koh Larn Cup football tournament officially opened on the morning of August 8, 2026, bringing together young players and local residents on the popular island off Pattaya.
At 9:30 a.m., Banjong Buntoonprayuk, Deputy Chairman of the Pattaya City Council, presided over the opening ceremony at the artificial turf football field in the Koh Larn community. Wisitsak Wongworachat, Director of the Tourism Development Division under the Office of Tourism and Sports, delivered the opening report.

Attendees included members of the Pattaya City Council, the mayor’s working group, the chairman and committee members of the Ban Koh Larn community, sports tourism officials, school administrators from Pattaya City schools, coaches, competing youth teams, and parents.
Organized jointly by Pattaya City, the Ban Koh Larn community committee, and local residents, the tournament runs from August 8 to 14, 2026. Its goals include encouraging youth and island residents to exercise, fostering community activities and unity, instilling sportsmanship values such as accepting victory and defeat with grace, providing continuous competitive experience, and inspiring personal development. Organizers also aim to promote the Had Nual football field to sports tourists, expanding tourism options on Koh Larn while reinforcing Pattaya’s image as a Sports City and sports tourism destination.

Competition is divided into two categories: youth under 12 years old (six teams) and the general public (eight teams). Matches on the opening day featured the youth category, with teams from schools under Pattaya City administration taking part.
Results in the under-12 division were as follows:
– Champions: Pattaya City School 8
– First runner-up: Pattaya City School 1
– Joint second runners-up: Pattaya City School 5 and Pattaya City School 6
The matches unfolded in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.
