Ariana Grande reignites romance rumours with Ricky…

Ariana Grande has reignited speculation about a possible romance with her former boyfriend Ricky Alvarez after featuring him prominently in a new Instagram photo album.

The pop superstar shared a series of personal images on Wednesday, giving fans a glimpse into her travels during her ongoing Eternal Sunshine Tour. The post arrived shortly after Grande revealed that she plans to step away from the spotlight once the tour concludes on September 1, saying she needs a break from the intense attention that has surrounded her in recent years.

Among the images was a particularly intimate-looking moment involving Alvarez, Grande’s former backup dancer and ex-boyfriend. In the photograph, Alvarez appeared with his arm around Grande, although the pair’s faces were deliberately kept outside the frame. Another picture showed Grande holding closely onto Alvarez, while his face was blurred.

The images quickly caught the attention of fans, with many questioning whether Grande and Alvarez could have rekindled their relationship. However, neither Grande nor Alvarez has confirmed that they are romantically involved again, leaving the nature of their current relationship unclear.

Grande and Alvarez were previously linked romantically in 2015 and 2016. Their relationship ended years ago, but the pair have remained connected over time, occasionally appearing together in social media posts and public settings.

The renewed speculation comes at a significant moment for Grande, who recently announced plans to reduce her public visibility following the completion of her tour. Her decision was reportedly influenced in part by the constant scrutiny surrounding her personal life and career.

The singer’s announcement came shortly after widespread online discussion surrounding her appearance in her latest Petal music video. The release generated considerable attention across social media, with viewers commenting on her appearance and sparking another wave of public discussion.

Following the reaction to the video, Grande’s representative confirmed that the singer would be “taking a step back from visibility” after completing the Eternal Sunshine Tour. The statement suggested that Grande intends to spend less time in the public eye once her current professional commitments come to an end.

Reports have also suggested that people close to the singer have encouraged her to take a break from her demanding career. While Grande has not indicated how long her planned hiatus will last, her decision appears to reflect a desire for greater privacy and distance from constant public attention.

Amid those developments, her appearance alongside Alvarez has naturally generated further interest in her personal life. Fans are now closely examining the singer’s latest social media activity for clues about whether the former couple’s connection has developed into something romantic again.

For now, however, the Instagram images remain open to interpretation. Grande and Alvarez have not publicly addressed the renewed romance rumours, and there has been no official confirmation that they have resumed their relationship.

Father seeks fresh post-mortem in Mir Raza case

The father of deceased businessman Mir Raza Ali has decided to seek a second post-mortem examination, saying he is not satisfied with the initial medical report or the progress of the investigation into his son’s death. Mir Hussain said he will move the court to request a fresh medical examination. He believes the first post-mortem did not fully explain the circumstances of his son’s death and has called for a transparent and impartial investigation. Mir Raza Ali, an IBA graduate and businessman, went missing on the night of July 28 after leaving his home. According to his family, he told them he would return within a few minutes. However, he did not come back. His body was found the following day in bushes in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. The victim’s father has rejected the theory that his son died by suicide. He insists that Mir Raza was murdered and claims attempts are being made to present the incident as a suicide. He alleged that his son’s body showed signs of violence, including burns to the face, body and fingerprints. He also claimed that Mir Raza was shot from behind and questioned why the initial medical report focused only on the gunshot injury without mentioning other visible injuries. Mir Hussain further questioned what happened to his son during the nearly 24 hours between his disappearance and the recovery of his body. He said Mir Raza had spoken to his sister before leaving home and appeared to be in a normal mood. According to the family, the taxi driver who dropped him off also told investigators that the businessman seemed cheerful and was singing during the journey. Preliminary medical findings indicated that the victim died from a gunshot wound. The report estimated that the body was between 24 and 36 hours old when examined. Medical officials also noted facial injuries and marks on one of his hands. The bullet’s path suggested it entered from the back and exited through the front. To ensure a thorough inquiry, Karachi police have constituted a three-member special investigation team. The team has been directed to examine every aspect of the case, identify those responsible and submit daily progress reports to senior police officials. Investigators have also reviewed the victim’s mobile phone records and forensic evidence. According to officials, the data indicates that Mir Raza had been facing financial difficulties. Authorities said he had reportedly sent a message to a friend shortly before his death requesting a loan of Rs30 million. Police have recorded statements from 15 individuals, including the taxi driver who last transported the victim and the person who first informed authorities about the body.

He was taken into custody on August 5, 2023, shortly after a court convicted him in the case. Following his arrest, he was shifted from his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore, to District Jail Attock under strict security arrangements. Imran Khan remained at Attock Jail for one month and 21 days. During that period, security around the prison was tightened, while legal proceedings related to multiple cases against him continued in different courts. Iran announces $30,000 reward for capturing or kil…

TEHRAN: Iran has announced a $30,000 reward for anyone who kills or captures a US servicemember and hands them over to Iranian authorities, in a striking escalation of rhetoric amid continuing tensions between Tehran and Washington. Iranian Army chief Maj Gen Amir Hatami announced the reward, saying it had been introduced after what he described as a large number of public requests to participate in the confrontation with the United States. Under the reported scheme, a person who kills or captures a US soldier and hands the servicemember to Iranian authorities would receive $30,000, or the equivalent of about 5 billion Iranian tomans. Hatami reportedly said the reward would be doubled if the action was carried out by a woman. The announcement comes as tensions between Iran and the United States remain high. Tehran has repeatedly demanded that American forces leave the region, while Washington has maintained a significant military presence across the Middle East. Despite the threat, there are no known US ground forces permanently deployed inside Iran. Reports indicate that American personnel entered Iranian territory in April during a rescue operation following the crash of a US aircraft. Hatami also issued a warning over the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman and Strait of Hormuz, saying American forces would not be allowed to return. His comments came after US President Donald Trump made controversial statements concerning the strategic waterway. The Strait of Hormuz remains a major flashpoint because it is one of the world’s most important energy shipping routes. Any further escalation around the passage could have consequences well beyond the region, particularly for global oil markets. The latest Iranian announcement adds another provocative dimension to an already tense confrontation, raising concerns over the safety of US personnel and the possibility of further escalation across the Middle East.

Pakistan seeks early refinancing of $1.3 billion C…

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has formally requested China to speed up the refinancing of a $1.3 billion commercial loan as Islamabad seeks to strengthen its foreign exchange reserves and ease pressure on its external financing position. According to sources, Pakistani authorities are currently holding discussions with their Chinese counterparts to complete the refinancing process at the earliest. The two sides are working to finalize the required terms, conditions, and procedural requirements. Officials expect the refinancing arrangements to conclude soon, with the funds likely to reach Pakistan within the current month if the remaining formalities are completed on schedule. Sources within the Ministry of Finance said the government expects the timely arrival of the funds to provide much-needed support to the country’s foreign exchange reserves. The refinancing would also help Pakistan manage its external debt obligations without placing additional pressure on its existing reserve position. Pakistan made external payments of around $2.2 billion in July, including the repayment of approximately $1.3 billion in Chinese commercial financing. The government now seeks to refinance the repaid amount to maintain liquidity and strengthen its financial position. The move comes as Pakistan continues to manage its external financing requirements and maintain adequate foreign exchange reserves to meet upcoming debt repayments and other international payment obligations. The successful completion of the refinancing deal with China would offer temporary relief to the country’s external account and support overall financial stability.
