NADRA issues notices to 4,506 suspicious CNIC hold…

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Karachi has issued notices to another 4,506 holders of suspicious Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).

According to the details, the individuals have been directed to contact their respective NADRA zonal offices within seven days. They have also been asked to provide all necessary documents and evidence to establish the validity of their identity and citizenship records.

NADRA has warned that failure to respond to the notices within the given period could result in the cancellation of their CNICs. The authority has also warned that identity cards of their other family members could be cancelled if the required verification is not completed.

Of the total notices issued, 2,318 have been sent to CNIC holders residing in different districts of Karachi. The remaining 2,400 notices relate to citizens living in various cities across interior Sindh.

The latest action is part of NADRA’s ongoing scrutiny of identity records. The authority has been examining cases where discrepancies or questions have emerged regarding the authenticity of CNICs and the information provided by their holders.

The affected individuals have been given an opportunity to appear before the relevant NADRA offices and submit supporting evidence. They are required to cooperate with the verification process within the specified seven-day period.

NADRA officials have made it clear that failure to provide satisfactory evidence could lead to further action against the individuals concerned. The possible cancellation of the CNICs of other relatives has also been mentioned as part of the warning issued to suspicious CNIC holders.

The latest notices cover both Karachi and several areas of interior Sindh. This indicates that the verification process is not limited to a single district but is being carried out across different parts of the province.

It is noteworthy that NADRA has identified more than 10,000 suspicious CNIC holders across the country so far this year. The latest notices issued in Karachi and interior Sindh add thousands more cases to the authority’s ongoing verification drive.

The process is aimed at ensuring that identity records maintained in the national database remain accurate and properly verified. Individuals who receive notices have been advised to approach the relevant NADRA offices and provide the required evidence within the deadline.

(Reddit) According to Rocky, Abloh worked on several of his projects without expecting payment, including designing album artwork, contributing to tour concepts, and helping develop his creative direction. (Reddit) Despite the comments, Rocky made it clear that he still respects Kanye’s influence on modern culture. He praised the rapper as one of the industry’s biggest innovators, saying artists of his generation benefited from the doors Kanye helped open. Tim Seifert’s 72 powers Manchester to maiden Hundred title

LONDON: New Zealand batter Tim Seifert produced a sensational display of power hitting as Manchester Super Giants chased down 159 against Trent Rockets to win their maiden men’s Hundred title by five wickets at Lord’s on Sunday. Seifert’s explosive 72 off just 38 balls transformed the chase and put Manchester in control before Liam Dawson held his nerve during a dramatic final over to complete a memorable victory. The Super Giants appeared to be cruising before the Rockets launched a late fightback. With Manchester needing only three runs from the final nine balls, Mohammad Amir struck twice in successive deliveries, removing Heinrich Klaasen and Michael Bracewell. Ben Sanderson then delivered two consecutive dot balls, leaving Manchester needing three runs from three deliveries. Dawson responded in emphatic fashion. The experienced batter launched the next delivery over the mid-wicket boundary for six, sealing victory with two balls still remaining and sparking celebrations among the Manchester camp. Earlier, Seifert had almost single-handedly shifted the momentum of the final. The right-hander attacked the Rockets’ bowling from the outset, smashing seven sixes and four fours in a breathtaking innings. The Rockets briefly thought they had removed the danger man when Seifert was on 33. Finn Allen produced a spectacular effort near the boundary, but the catch was ruled out after Allen’s foot touched the rope before he completed the attempt. Seifert continued his assault and eventually equalled Will Jacks’ record for the highest individual score in a men’s Hundred final. His performance capped an outstanding tournament. Seifert finished as the competition’s second-highest run-scorer, behind Australia’s Mitchell Marsh, accumulating 394 runs at an average just below 50. For Manchester Super Giants, the triumph ended years of frustration. The Old Trafford-based franchise, previously known as Manchester Originals, had reached two men’s finals before Sunday but failed to lift the trophy, including a defeat by Trent Rockets in 2022. The Rockets, meanwhile, were left to rue a missed opportunity after topping the men’s table and earning a direct place in the final. They had also hoped to make history by becoming the first franchise to win both the men’s and women’s Hundred titles in the same season. Instead, it was Manchester’s night at Lord’s, with Seifert’s extraordinary hitting and Dawson’s cool finish delivering the franchise its long-awaited first men’s Hundred crown.

Palace fears Harry could reach King Charles while Camilla’s away

Prince Harry’s ongoing push to rebuild ties with the royal family may be approaching a pivotal moment. A new development has insiders within the Firm reportedly on edge. The concern centres around Queen Camilla’s upcoming girls’ trip, which happens to overlap with King Charles’s time at Balmoral in Scotland. According to celebrity reporter Rob Shuter and a Palace insider, this overlap has become a genuine point of worry. Camilla is widely believed to play a key role in tempering Charles’s emotional responses when it comes to Harry. She’s even reportedly rearranged her own schedule in the past just to be present during Harry’s summer meeting at Highgrove. A Palace source told Shuter that Harry is well aware of exactly when his father is most emotionally vulnerable. With Camilla away, one of the strongest steadying influences on Charles would temporarily be missing. The source explained that Harry understands his father on a deeply emotional level. According to the insider, Harry knows Charles misses him and senses that beneath the tension, the King still wants his son back. The source added that while Charles can be firm and composed in his role as monarch, Harry knows exactly how to reach him as a father. That emotional vulnerability is reportedly what worries palace insiders the most. Shuter noted that no dramatic gesture would even be necessary to make an impact. Even a simple phone call, he suggested, could open a door that officials would then struggle to close again. The timing adds another layer of complexity to the already delicate relationship between Harry and his father. With Camilla’s steadying presence temporarily out of the picture, palace insiders appear to be bracing for the possibility of an unplanned reconciliation attempt. Whether Harry chooses to act during this window remains to be seen, but the concern within palace circles suggests his opportunity is being taken seriously behind the scenes.

China’s Saindak copper mine in Pakistan faces su…

China’s long-running copper mining project in Pakistan is facing growing operational challenges as repeated militant attacks in Balochistan disrupt supply routes connected to the mine. The Saindak copper and gold mine, located in Balochistan’s Chagai district, is considered one of China’s oldest mining investments in Pakistan and remains its only major copper interest in the country. Analysts say ongoing security issues have created difficulties for transporting materials and maintaining regular operations. The attacks along key routes have raised concerns about what some analysts describe as an “economic blockade,” potentially affecting the movement of supplies required for mining activities and the shipment of copper produced at the site. Copper is a strategically important commodity for China, which is the world’s largest consumer of the metal due to its extensive manufacturing, energy, and technology industries. Any disruption to supply sources can create concerns for industries dependent on stable copper availability. The Saindak project has long been viewed as an important symbol of Pakistan-China economic cooperation. The mine has contributed to Pakistan’s mineral sector while providing China with access to copper resources. However, security challenges in Balochistan have repeatedly affected development projects and infrastructure networks. The province has witnessed several militant attacks targeting government installations, security forces, and economic projects. Officials and security agencies have increased efforts to protect strategic assets and transportation routes, but continued instability remains a major challenge for investors operating in the region. Experts say maintaining security around mining operations is essential not only for the continuity of the Saindak project but also for attracting future foreign investment in Pakistan’s mineral resources. As global demand for critical minerals continues to rise, the stability of resource-rich regions like Balochistan will remain a key factor in determining the future of mining cooperation between Pakistan and international partners.
