Is Mawra Hocane expecting her first baby?

Pakistani actors Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani are once again at the centre of social media discussion after their recent anniversary posts sparked fresh speculation that they may be expecting their first child.

The rumours began circulating after the couple shared photos and videos celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Some social media users claimed Mawra appeared to be hiding a baby bump, while others pointed to what they described as a noticeable “pregnancy glow.” However, neither Mawra nor Ameer has confirmed the speculation.

The couple celebrated their anniversary by sharing heartfelt messages dedicated to each other. Mawra expressed her love by describing Ameer as the light of her life and thanked him for a memorable first year of marriage. Ameer also posted a loving tribute, expressing his hope for many more years together.

Mawra also shared an emotional note about the jewellery and wedding dupatta gifted to her by her mother-in-law. She described the family heirlooms as deeply meaningful and said she hoped to preserve them before eventually passing them on to the next generation.

Following the anniversary celebrations, online discussions intensified, with fans closely analysing the couple’s recent public appearances and photographs. The speculation quickly spread across entertainment pages and social media platforms.

Despite the growing rumours, there has been no official confirmation from the couple regarding any pregnancy.

Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani tied the knot on February 5, 2025, in a private wedding ceremony attended by close family members and friends. The couple later shared wedding photographs on social media, receiving widespread congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities.

Before getting married, the two actors worked together in several popular television dramas, earning praise for their on-screen chemistry and becoming one of Pakistan’s most admired celebrity couples.

Israeli settlers torch two mosques in West Bank as…

WEST BANK: Two mosques were set ablaze in the occupied West Bank overnight, Palestinian officials said on Sunday, in the latest escalation of violence that has sharply raised tensions across the territory. The attacks targeted a mosque under construction in Qusra, south of Nablus, and another mosque in the village of Kour, near Tulkarm. The incidents came only days after a deadly confrontation in the nearby village of Tal that left four Palestinians and two Israelis dead. In Qusra, Mayor Abdel Azim Wadi said settlers set fire to the mosque’s entrance and damaged parts of its stonework. Hebrew graffiti, including the word “revenge,” was reportedly sprayed across the walls. The Israeli military said troops were sent to the area after receiving reports of the fire. According to the army, the suspected attackers had already fled when soldiers arrived. Israeli police were expected to collect evidence and investigate the incident. The second attack took place in Kour, where Palestinian officials said a mosque was set alight and racist slogans were written on its walls. Worshippers and local residents managed to prevent the fire from causing further destruction, according to reports. The mosque attacks have added another disturbing chapter to a widening cycle of violence in the West Bank, where clashes, arson attacks and raids have intensified since the Gaza war began in October 2023. The latest incidents also follow a deadly confrontation in Tal on Friday, where four Palestinians and two Israelis were killed. The aftermath has triggered further arrests, raids and attacks in surrounding Palestinian communities. With tensions already running high, the torching of places of worship has raised fresh fears that the latest violence could fuel further retaliation and deepen an already volatile situation across the occupied territory.

England fast bowler John Turner retires at just 25

England fast bowler John Turner has announced his shock retirement from professional cricket at the age of 25, bringing the curtain down on a promising five-year career. Turner, who represented England in two ODIs and two T20Is in 2024, made the difficult decision after a prolonged battle with injuries kept him away from professional cricket since June last year. The Hampshire fast bowler suffered a stress fracture in his back, an injury that forced him to spend more than a year on the sidelines. Despite having two years remaining on his Hampshire contract and holding an England and Wales Cricket Board development contract until the end of last year, Turner decided that it was time to move on. Explaining his decision, Turner said the repeated injuries had made him think seriously about his future both as a cricketer and beyond the sport. “Playing professional and international cricket was always my dream,” Turner said, describing representing Hampshire and England as the fulfilment of childhood ambitions. He admitted that retirement was one of the toughest decisions of his life but said he believed it was the right moment to take on a new challenge. Turner made his first-class debut for Hampshire in 2021 and described his five years with the club as the best period of his life. He also thanked Hampshire’s management, coaches, teammates and supporters for their unwavering backing. His retirement brings a surprisingly early end to the career of a bowler who had once earned an international opportunity at just 23.

Khawaja Asif accuses PTI of supporting PPP candida…

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supported candidates of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) during the recent elections. He alleged that in several constituencies, it appeared that both political parties had made joint efforts to influence the electoral outcome. Khawaja Asif stated that there were visible signs of cooperation between PTI and PPP in certain areas. According to him, the political activities and election strategies of both parties suggested that they were working together against other candidates. However, he did not provide specific evidence to support his claim. The Defence Minister said that he had been observing elections in Azad Kashmir for the past 55 years and had witnessed many political developments over different periods. He described the current election as significant, particularly because voter participation in urban areas was higher compared to previous elections. Khawaja Asif praised the efforts of his party’s workers, saying that they had worked hard during the election campaign. He claimed that the increased voter turnout in cities reflected greater public engagement and interest in the electoral process. He stated that urban areas recorded a turnout of more than 45 percent, describing it as an important achievement. According to Asif, the higher participation rate demonstrated that voters had actively participated in the democratic process and responded positively to his party’s campaign efforts. While discussing the performance of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Khawaja Asif claimed that the party’s popularity had declined among voters. He pointed out that the PPP had last won an election from the city in 1970, suggesting that the party had lost much of its previous political influence in the region. Asif argued that the current political landscape in Azad Kashmir was different from previous decades. He suggested that changing voter preferences and recent electoral trends indicated that political support for traditional parties had shifted over time. The Defence Minister’s remarks came amid political debate following the Azad Kashmir elections, where opposition parties raised concerns about the fairness of the electoral process. The PPP and other opposition groups have alleged irregularities, while government representatives have defended the transparency of the elections. Khawaja Asif maintained that his party’s success was the result of extensive political efforts and public support. He credited party workers for their dedication and said that the election outcome reflected the changing political dynamics of the region. The allegations regarding PTI’s support for PPP candidates have added another layer to the ongoing political discussions. Both PTI and PPP have their own positions regarding the election process, and any claims of coordination between them remain a subject of political debate. As the political situation develops, statements from different parties are expected to continue shaping discussions about the election results, voter trends, and the future direction of politics in Azad Kashmir.

Imran Khan returns to Bollywood after 10 years

Imran Khan is stepping back into the spotlight. After ten years away from acting, he has confirmed his return with a brand-new Netflix film. He broke the news himself in a recent interview. He said he just finished shooting his first movie in a decade. The film is called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year. Khan described the film as a mature romantic comedy. He said it reflects where he is in life today, rather than trying to relive his earlier on-screen image. Fans have waited a long time for this. His last major role was in Katti Batti back in 2015, where he starred alongside Kangana Ranaut. He also appeared briefly in Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. Even so, neither project gave fans the kind of lead performance they associate with him, the kind seen in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. For this new chapter, Khan will star alongside young actor Gurfateh Pirzada. He is also reuniting with director Danish Aslam, someone he has worked closely with in the past. Speaking about the collaboration, Khan said it felt like a natural next step for both of them. He compared it to picturing what the characters from Break Ke Baad might be doing fifteen years later. He pointed out how much life experience he and Aslam now share. Aslam has since gotten married. Khan has been through a divorce. That shared growth, he said, shaped the story they wanted to tell. He also called the project deeply personal. It was not driven by pressure to make a comeback, he explained, but by a genuine creative pull and the chance to work with people he trusts. As for timing, Khan confirmed filming has already wrapped. The film is currently in post-production. He said the release date will depend on when Netflix finalizes its schedule. Indian media outlets have already labelled this one of Bollywood’s most anticipated returns. That reaction is not surprising, given how long fans have hoped to see Khan back in a leading role after all these years.

Pakistan stands with Nepal after broad peak avalan…

Pakistan has expressed solidarity with Nepal following the tragic avalanche on Broad Peak in the Karakoram mountain range, where members of an international mountaineering expedition were caught in a deadly snow slide. Prime Minister’s Adviser on Inter-Provincial Coordination, Senator Rana Sanaullah, said Pakistan shares the grief of the Nepalese people and remains committed to supporting rescue efforts. According to Rana Sanaullah, the avalanche struck a team of 10 international climbers attempting to scale Broad Peak. The expedition included six climbers from Nepal, along with mountaineers from Pakistan, the United States, China, and Oman. He said the Government of Pakistan immediately prioritized search and rescue operations after the incident. So far, the bodies of four climbers have been recovered, including Nepalese mountaineer Pur Bahadur Gurung. Rescue teams continue to search for the remaining missing climbers despite difficult terrain and severe weather conditions. Rana Sanaullah stated that the Pakistan Army and other relevant agencies are carrying out extensive rescue operations using helicopters, drones, and all available resources. He noted that challenging weather and the remote mountainous landscape have made rescue efforts extremely difficult, but authorities remain fully committed to locating the missing climbers. The adviser explained that search teams are utilizing GPS tracking, aerial surveillance, and ground search missions to maximize the chances of finding those still unaccounted for. He emphasized that rescue operations will continue without interruption until every possible effort has been exhausted. Expressing condolences to the families of the victims, Rana Sanaullah said Nepalese climbers, along with other international mountaineers, are highly respected in Pakistan for their contributions to global mountaineering. He added that Pakistan values its long-standing friendship with Nepal and stands with the families affected by the tragedy during this difficult time. He further reaffirmed that the government will continue to deploy all available resources until the search mission is completed. Pakistan, he said, remains committed to assisting the international climbing community and ensuring that every effort is made to locate the missing members of the expedition. The Broad Peak avalanche has once again highlighted the dangers of high-altitude mountaineering in the Karakoram, where unpredictable weather, avalanches, and challenging terrain continue to pose significant risks even to experienced climbers. Authorities have pledged to maintain rescue operations while closely monitoring weather conditions to ensure the safety of rescue personnel.
