Is Mawra Hocane expecting her first baby?

Pakistani actors Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani are once again at the centre of social media discussion after their recent anniversary posts sparked fresh speculation that they may be expecting their first child.

The rumours began circulating after the couple shared photos and videos celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Some social media users claimed Mawra appeared to be hiding a baby bump, while others pointed to what they described as a noticeable “pregnancy glow.” However, neither Mawra nor Ameer has confirmed the speculation.

The couple celebrated their anniversary by sharing heartfelt messages dedicated to each other. Mawra expressed her love by describing Ameer as the light of her life and thanked him for a memorable first year of marriage. Ameer also posted a loving tribute, expressing his hope for many more years together.

Mawra also shared an emotional note about the jewellery and wedding dupatta gifted to her by her mother-in-law. She described the family heirlooms as deeply meaningful and said she hoped to preserve them before eventually passing them on to the next generation.

Following the anniversary celebrations, online discussions intensified, with fans closely analysing the couple’s recent public appearances and photographs. The speculation quickly spread across entertainment pages and social media platforms.

Despite the growing rumours, there has been no official confirmation from the couple regarding any pregnancy.

This is not the first time Mawra has faced such speculation. In the past, she publicly dismissed similar claims, making it clear that the rumours were false and asking fans not to believe unverified reports.

Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani tied the knot on February 5, 2025, in a private wedding ceremony attended by close family members and friends. The couple later shared wedding photographs on social media, receiving widespread congratulations from fans and fellow celebrities.

Before getting married, the two actors worked together in several popular television dramas, earning praise for their on-screen chemistry and becoming one of Pakistan’s most admired celebrity couples.

Rajkummar Rao’s courtroom drama ‘Prahaar’ faces postponement

Actor Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming courtroom drama Prahaar has reportedly been postponed from its scheduled theatrical release on August 7, 2026, as the makers seek a clearer box office window amid a heavily crowded theatrical calendar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner and directed by Avinash Arun, the film draws inspiration from the life and high-profile legal trials of renowned special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. In addition to Rajkummar Rao in the lead role, the feature stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles. According to industry reports, the decision to push back the film’s arrival came after detailed discussions between the producers and key distribution stakeholders. The August release corridor features several major domestic and international titles competing for screen share, including Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing in late July, followed shortly by Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 in mid-August. An industry source close to the project revealed that the makers felt releasing Prahaar in such a competitive window would restrict its box office growth, especially for a narrative-driven courtroom drama that relies on strong word-of-mouth: “Prahaar was scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 7. However, the makers have now decided to postpone its release. After discussions with the stakeholders, they felt that it would not be advisable to release the film during that period. Had it arrived on the scheduled date, it would have released a week after Spider-Man: Brand New Day and a week before Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2. Meanwhile, Prahaar is a special film that requires a healthy window, as it has the potential to draw audiences in large numbers.” Speculation surrounding a potential delay had already been circulating within trade circles due to the complete absence of active promotional campaigns with just two weeks remaining before the planned launch date. Producer Dinesh Vijan is widely known for executing extensive promotional tours well in advance, making the lack of marketing events a clear signal to theater owners and analysts that a date change was imminent. Prahaar marks the second Maddock Films project to undergo a schedule adjustment this season, following similar date shifts for Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming project Eetha. While Maddock Films has yet to officially announce a revised launch date, trade analysts expect the studio to secure an uninterrupted release window in the coming months to maximize the film’s theatrical potential across domestic and international markets.

Global chip market set to cross $1 trillion as AI demand surges

The global semiconductor industry is on track to surpass $1 trillion in annual revenue in 2026, driven largely by the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure. AI-related chips are reshaping the semiconductor business. Although advanced AI processors represent only a tiny share of total chip shipments, they are expected to generate almost half of the industry’s overall revenue this year. The surge reflects the enormous investment being made in AI data centres around the world. The five largest global technology hyperscalers have allocated more than $600 billion to AI data-centre infrastructure in 2026. The growing demand is also increasing the importance of advanced chip manufacturing. Producing a sophisticated 3-nanometre processor can take around six months, highlighting the complexity and limited capacity of the global supply chain. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) remains central to the production of the world’s most advanced processors. The company manufactures an estimated 90% of the most sophisticated chips, making it a critical supplier for the rapidly expanding AI industry. This concentration has also raised concerns about supply-chain vulnerability. Any major disruption to advanced chip production could affect technology companies, AI developers and governments that are investing heavily in artificial intelligence. Nvidia has emerged as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom. The company reported revenue of $215.9 billion, strengthening its position as a leading supplier of processors used to train and operate advanced AI models. The chip industry’s challenges extend beyond processors. High-bandwidth memory (HBM), which is essential for AI computing, has become another major supply constraint. Much of the available HBM production capacity is already committed through 2026. The global memory market is also expected to generate substantial revenue, with estimates putting fiscal 2026 revenue at around $594.7 billion. The figures underline how quickly AI is transforming the global semiconductor industry. Demand is shifting toward fewer but far more valuable advanced chips, while manufacturers face pressure to expand capacity and secure critical components. As AI investment continues to grow, semiconductor production is increasingly becoming a strategic issue for technology companies and governments. The ability to manufacture advanced processors and memory at scale could determine how quickly the next phase of AI development progresses.

Crazy, Stupid, Love. directors recall Kevin Bacon?…

Fifteen years after Crazy, Stupid, Love. became a romantic comedy favorite, directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa are looking back on the making of the film and sharing one behind-the-scenes moment that has stayed with them ever since. The filmmaking duo recently reflected on the 2011 hit while celebrating its enduring popularity. Starring Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore and Kevin Bacon, the film earned praise for its clever storytelling, heartfelt romance and memorable performances. Looking back, the directors admitted there was one piece of advice from Kevin Bacon that they have never forgotten. According to Ficarra and Requa, Bacon encouraged them not to overthink the filmmaking process and reminded them to trust their instincts. His words came during production when the directors were navigating the pressure of managing a major Hollywood ensemble cast. The advice, they said, proved invaluable and has stayed with them throughout their careers. (people.com) The directors also laughed while recalling the lighthearted atmosphere on set. Despite featuring several A-list stars, they said the cast created a collaborative and relaxed environment where everyone was eager to support one another. They credited the actors’ professionalism and sense of humor for making long filming days enjoyable. One of the film’s most iconic moments remains the now-famous shirtless reveal featuring Ryan Gosling, a scene that continues to be celebrated by fans more than a decade later. The directors admitted they never expected certain scenes to become part of pop culture, but they believe the film’s emotional core is what has allowed it to stand the test of time. Released in 2011, Crazy, Stupid, Love. follows recently separated Cal Weaver, played by Steve Carell, as he attempts to rebuild his confidence with the help of smooth-talking bachelor Jacob Palmer, portrayed by Gosling. The film blends romance, comedy and family drama while exploring love at different stages of life. Its surprising twists and heartfelt ending helped make it one of the standout romantic comedies of the decade. Reflecting on the anniversary, Ficarra and Requa said they remain grateful for the lasting affection audiences have shown the film. They noted that hearing fans quote lines and revisit the movie years later has been one of the most rewarding parts of their careers. Bacon’s simple advice to trust the process, they added, continues to influence the way they approach every project. As Crazy, Stupid, Love. celebrates its 15th anniversary, its blend of humor, heart and memorable performances continues to resonate with viewers. And thanks to one unforgettable lesson from Kevin Bacon, the directors still carry a reminder that sometimes the best filmmaking comes from believing in your instincts.
