Internet hilariously pairs Rajab Butt with Dr Nabiha Ali Khan

Pakistani social media users have found a new topic of discussion after internet personalities Rajab Butt and Dr Nabiha Ali Khan became the centre of a wave of humorous posts linking their personal lives.

Rajab Butt is one of Pakistan’s most-followed YouTubers, known for sharing family vlogs and lifestyle content with millions of viewers. Over the years, he has frequently made headlines not only for his online content but also for controversies surrounding legal matters and his personal life.

In recent months, much of the public attention has focused on his marriage with Emaan Fatima. Reports, speculation and discussions about the couple’s relationship, including rumours of separation and reconciliation, have kept the pair in the spotlight across social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has also remained a trending figure due to the highly publicised developments in her relationship with Haris Khokhar. Their marriage has repeatedly attracted attention because of reports involving marital disputes, a khula, divorce proceedings and later reconciliation. Dr Nabiha has also addressed various aspects of her personal life in interviews, making her relationship a frequent topic of online conversation.

With both personalities regularly making headlines over their relationships, social media users recently began jokingly connecting the two in a series of viral posts.

The discussion started after an X (formerly Twitter) user shared a light-hearted suggestion that Rajab Butt and Dr Nabiha Ali Khan should marry each other, claiming that neither appeared satisfied in their current relationships. Although the post was clearly intended as humour, it quickly gained traction and sparked thousands of reactions from other users.

The suggestion spread rapidly across social media, with many people adding their own jokes and memes. Users flooded the comment sections with witty remarks, turning the viral post into a trending conversation.

One user jokingly referred to the pair as “Yajooj Majooj,” using the comparison to exaggerate the idea in a humorous way. Another commented that they would be “a couple made in hell,” while someone else wrote that “they deserve each other.”

Many other users continued the trend by sharing memes, sarcastic comments and edited images, with the conversation becoming more about entertainment than serious discussion.

The viral reactions once again highlighted how quickly social media users turn celebrity news into online humour. Relationship updates involving well-known influencers often become the subject of memes, especially when those personalities are already frequent topics of public debate.

Neither Rajab Butt nor Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has responded to the viral posts or the jokes circulating online. The discussion appears to have been driven entirely by social media users and does not reflect any real connection between the two personalities.

As with many viral internet trends, the conversation has largely been based on speculation and humour rather than facts. While many users treated the posts as harmless entertainment, others pointed out that public figures’ personal lives often become the focus of excessive online scrutiny.

For now, the viral pairing remains nothing more than a social media joke. However, it has once again demonstrated how quickly internet culture can transform ongoing celebrity controversies into trending memes, with thousands of users joining the conversation through humorous comments, reactions and viral posts.

LHC acquits man sentenced to life for wife’s…

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court ( LHC) has overturned the life imprisonment sentence of a man convicted of murdering his wife, ruling that the prosecution failed to establish his guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh issued a detailed 19-page written judgment, allowing the appeal filed by the convict, Tanveer, and ordering his immediate release. According to the verdict, Tanveer maintained that he was on duty at a petrol station at the time of the incident and denied any involvement in the killing of his wife. The court observed that the prosecution had failed to produce reliable and convincing evidence to support the allegations against him. The judgment concluded that the available evidence was insufficient to sustain the conviction, leading the court to set aside the trial court’s decision and acquit the appellant. Tanveer had been sentenced to life imprisonment in 2022 by a trial court after being found guilty of his wife’s murder. In addition to the prison term, he was fined Rs400,000. He later challenged the conviction before the Lahore High Court, which has now ruled in his favor.

Punjab PMS officers oppose plan to create 101 AAC …

LAHORE: The Provincial Management Service (PMS) Officers Association has strongly opposed the Punjab government’s proposal to create 101 new Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC) posts, describing the move as unnecessary and harmful to the existing administrative structure. The association argued that the AAC posts had been abolished years ago and their revival was not justified, particularly after the establishment of the Punjab Enforcement and Regulatory Authority (PERA), which was created to strengthen enforcement and regulatory functions across the province. During an executive committee meeting chaired by Association President Qamar Zaman Qaisrani, members unanimously decided to raise their concerns with senior government officials. A delegation of the association is expected to meet the Punjab services secretary and the additional chief secretary to seek a review of the proposed decision. The association warned that if its concerns remain unaddressed, PMS officers across Punjab will begin a province-wide protest campaign. As part of the first phase, officers plan to wear black armbands while performing official duties to register their protest against the government’s decision. PMS officers believe the creation of the new posts would place a significant financial burden on the provincial treasury. According to the association’s estimates, establishing one Additional Assistant Commissioner post, including official facilities, office infrastructure, staff, transport and operational expenses, would cost approximately Rs46.8 million. They claim that creating all 101 posts would require nearly Rs4.73 billion initially, in addition to recurring expenditures on salaries, allowances and other administrative costs. The association further expressed concerns over what it described as long-standing issues within the provincial bureaucracy. These include delays in promotion boards, alleged discrimination in transfers and postings, and the appointment of junior officers to positions traditionally reserved for senior officials. Former administrative secretary Yawar Mehdi also commented on the proposal, saying that efforts to improve public service delivery were welcome if they genuinely strengthened governance. However, he stressed that introducing additional administrative positions should not weaken the existing civil service structure or negatively affect the career progression of Provincial Management Service officers.
