BARMM Parliament holds inaugural session
The first elected Bangsamoro Parliament convenes in Cotabato City on Friday, October 30, for its inaugural session, where 80 members, mostly elected in September, prepare to choose the region’s first elected chief minister.
The historic vote marks the transition from appointed leadership under the Bangsamoro Transition Authority to an elected parliamentary government in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
