Electricity poles encroaching on Hua Hin Soi 10 set for relocation

Electricity poles encroaching on Hua Hin Soi 10 have prompted a site inspection by local officials after residents raised concerns that the obstruction had caused part of the road to narrow.

On Wednesday 25 March, Hua Hin City Mayor Nopporn Wutikul led a delegation of municipal officials to the area to assess the situation. He was joined by Deputy Mayor Sanraphop Ungrassamee, the mayor’s secretary Natthawann Mitdee, the deputy council president, municipal councillors, the municipal clerk and the director of the Public Works Department. Representatives from the Provincial Waterworks Authority’s Pran Buri branch and the Provincial Electricity Authority’s Hua Hin office also took part in the visit.

Agencies coordinate solution to Soi 10 road issue

Officials said electricity poles encroaching on Hua Hin Soi 10 had been installed after a water pipeline was previously laid along the route by the Provincial Waterworks Authority. Insufficient space had been left for the placement of the poles, resulting in one section of the road becoming noticeably narrower.

Following complaints from local residents about safety and traffic flow, Hua Hin City Municipality coordinated with both agencies to resolve the issue. Authorities confirmed that the relevant organisations had agreed to relocate the electricity poles and adjust the alignment of the existing water pipeline.

Municipal officials said the planned changes would allow the affected stretch of Hua Hin Soi 10 to be widened, helping to restore normal road conditions and improve access for motorists and pedestrians.
