Energy-saving measures in Thailand: Cha-am issues guidance

Cha-am Municipality is asking for cooperation from all agencies and the public to help save energy, in order to prepare for future situations and ensure resources are used efficiently.

Air conditioning usage

  • Set the temperature to 26–27°C
  • Limit usage to 6 hours per day
  • 09:00 – 12:00
  • 13:00 – 16:00

Electricity usage

  • Use lighting only where necessary
  • Turn off lights during the lunch break (12:00 – 13:00)
  • Reduce electricity use in unoccupied areas

Fuel consumption

  • Avoid unnecessary travel
  • Plan journeys in advance
  • Share transport when travelling in the same direction

Office equipment usage

  • Turn off computer screens during breaks
  • Shut down and unplug equipment after use
  • Use photocopiers only when necessary

Public communication

  • Follow updates from reliable sources
  • Help ensure accurate information is shared with the public

All sectors are encouraged to cooperate
