Hua Hin Red Cross Fair now under way behind Bluport
The Hua Hin Red Cross Fair is now under way behind Bluport Hua Hin, with food stalls, local products, charity activities, prize draws and nightly entertainment taking place until 14 June.
The 28th Hua Hin District Red Cross Fair and local products fair opened on Friday at the 25-rai activity field on Hua Hin Soi 102. The event is open daily and is expected to draw residents, visitors and tourists throughout its 10-day run.
The fair is one of Hua Hin’s best-known annual community events, combining a traditional Thai fair atmosphere with fundraising activities for the Hua Hin District Red Cross Branch.
Organisers said money raised from the event will support relief work and charitable activities in Hua Hin district and nearby areas. This includes assistance for people affected by natural disasters, low-income residents, people with disabilities, disadvantaged groups and others in need.
Support provided by the Red Cross includes survival bags, consumer goods, kitchen equipment, bedding, mosquito nets, medicine, home repairs for low-income households, support for bedridden patients and wheelchair donations.
Fair aims to support Red Cross work in Hua Hin
The Hua Hin Red Cross Fair includes charity stalls, a Red Cross lucky draw and a wide range of food, shopping and entertainment.
Visitors can buy tickets for the lucky draw, with prizes including motorcycles, bicycles, refrigerators, electrical appliances and other items.
The fair also features stalls selling OTOP products, local goods, souvenirs, household items, furniture, plants, local dishes, traditional desserts and seafood.
In addition to shopping and food, the event includes a travelling funfair, games, student performances, singing contests, live music and stage shows.
The fair is open daily from 5.30pm to midnight at the site on Soi 102, behind Bluport Hua Hin.

Earlier performances included Dek Taxi on 5 June, the Tee Sai singing contest on 6 June and a local singing contest on 7 June.
The event runs until Sunday, 14 June.
