Hua Hin to Suvarnabhumi flights expected soon
Hua Hin to Suvarnabhumi flights could begin soon after EZY Airlines posted a short update about the proposed route on its official Facebook page.
In a post published in early June, the airline said the “gateway to the beach is opening soon”, referring to a planned Suvarnabhumi-Hua Hin service. The post also invited passengers to “stay tuned” and included contact details for telephone, WhatsApp, Line and email enquiries.
However, as of 6 June, EZY Airlines had not announced further details about the planned service, including ticket prices, flight times, frequency, booking channels or an exact launch date.
The update followed a report by Hua Hin Today in May that the route had been discussed during a meeting on 15 May between Deputy Transport Minister Phattharaphong Phattharaprasit and representatives of EZY Airlines.
According to information released after that meeting, the airline planned to operate the route using Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX aircraft, which can seat around 10 to 12 passengers.
Hua Hin route first discussed in 2025
Hua Hin Today first learned of the airline’s plans for Hua Hin in November 2025.
On 8 November, EZY Airlines organised sightseeing demonstration flights from Hua Hin Airport using a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX. The flights offered views of the Hua Hin coastline and nearby natural areas to representatives from hotels, business organisations and the media.
Later the same day, the airline hosted the Ezy Connect Event 2025 at the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort.
The event included a business matching session with EZY Airlines and was presided over by Preeda Sukjai, Deputy Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
EZY Airlines already operates short-haul services in southern Thailand. In June 2025, the airline launched what is considered Thailand’s shortest commercial flight route, a 152-kilometre service between Hat Yai and Betong.
The airline focuses on flights of less than 60 minutes, linking major and secondary cities in the southern region, with Hat Yai International Airport serving as its main hub.
Regional airport policy supports new routes
The Ministry of Transport has said it is ready to support airline operators that have the capacity and readiness to open new services, particularly on routes that improve travel options for people in regional areas.
Mr Phattharaphong said the policy is aimed at encouraging greater use of Department of Airports facilities that currently do not have regular commercial flights.
The talks form part of the Ministry of Transport’s Airport for Regional Development policy, which aims to use regional airports to support travel, tourism and local economies.
If confirmed, the Hua Hin to Suvarnabhumi flights would provide a new travel option between the city and Thailand’s main international airport, while also giving visitors another way to reach Hua Hin.
