IShowSpeed’s 60M celebration ends in horror

Popular YouTube streamer IShowSpeed’s celebration after reaching 60 million subscribers took an unexpected turn when a balloon stunt inspired by a Disney movie ended in a dangerous fall.

The content creator planned the unusual celebration as a tribute to Disney’s animated film “Up”, in which a house is lifted into the sky using thousands of balloons. Speed attempted a similar stunt by attaching himself to a chair connected to large helium balloons.

According to reports, Speed and his team prepared the stunt gradually. They added smaller balloons during his journey toward the subscriber milestone and later replaced them with much larger balloons for the final attempt.

At the beginning of the stunt, crew members helped keep the chair stable as Speed slowly moved upward. After officially reaching the 60 million subscriber mark, the streamer became emotional and asked to be released to experience the flight on his own.

However, moments later, several balloons reportedly burst while he was in the air, causing the setup to lose balance. The failure of the balloon system resulted in Speed falling to the ground.

The incident was captured during a live broadcast and quickly spread across social media platforms. In the footage, Speed appeared shaken after the fall, breathing heavily, while blood was visible on his forehead. The livestream was immediately switched to another camera angle following the incident.

The stunt attracted mixed reactions from viewers. Some fans expressed concern over the risks involved and questioned the safety measures taken during the attempt.

Others reacted with humour, comparing the failed stunt to the animated film that inspired it. Some social media users also questioned whether the incident was staged, while others defended Speed and said the fall appeared genuine.

The incident has renewed discussions about the safety risks involved in extreme online content, as creators increasingly attempt unusual challenges to entertain millions of followers.

Shaheen Afridi pulls out of LPL 2026

COLOMBO: Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has reportedly withdrawn from the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026, bringing an early end to a turbulent campaign that was overshadowed by an administrative mix-up and below-par performances. According to media reports, the 26-year-old informed his franchise, Kandy Royals, that he was leaving the tournament for personal reasons. Neither Afridi nor the franchise has disclosed further details, while Kandy Royals are yet to announce a replacement. Afridi’s departure comes just days after he was at the centre of an unusual selection controversy. Reports claimed he had initially been listed as the team’s Impact Player for a match against Colombo Capitals, but was unable to feature after an administrative error left his name off the official team sheet. The mistake reportedly occurred after Kandy Royals elected to bat first, with team officials later informing Afridi that an analyst had accidentally omitted his name from the final squad submitted before the match. The incident prompted the Pakistan pacer to raise the issue with an official from the tournament’s Anti-Corruption Unit, after which the matter was referred to the match referee for review. Franchise officials and tournament organisers later apologised to Afridi for the error. Reports suggested the left-arm fast bowler had briefly considered leaving the competition immediately after the incident but decided to stay with the squad following the apology. Despite remaining in the tournament, Afridi struggled to make his usual impact with the ball. He claimed seven wickets in six matches, averaging 32.00, while conceding runs at an economy rate of 10.18, figures well below the standards expected from one of Pakistan’s premier fast bowlers. Meanwhile, the LPL continues to see changes in team combinations, with two more Pakistani cricketers joining the competition as replacement signings. Young batter Khawaja Nafay has been drafted by Jaffna Kings to replace Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran, while experienced all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed has signed with Dambulla Sixers as a replacement for Afghanistan fast bowler Fazalhaq Farooqi. Shaheen’s reported withdrawal marks another twist in an eventful LPL campaign and is likely to spark further discussion about player management and tournament administration as the competition heads toward its decisive stages.

Centre, Sindh join hands to tackle marine pollutio…

ISLAMABAD: The federal government and the Sindh administration have agreed to launch a coordinated campaign to combat marine pollution, safeguard coastal ecosystems, and promote the sustainable growth of Pakistan’s blue economy. The decision was reached during a meeting between Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori’s successor, Governor Nehal Hashmi, where both sides reviewed the growing environmental challenges facing the country’s coastline and discussed their impact on marine biodiversity, fisheries, coastal communities, and critical infrastructure. Speaking on the occasion, the maritime affairs minister said marine pollution had evolved into a major environmental, economic, and public health challenge. He noted that pollution was not only damaging coastal ecosystems but was also threatening livelihoods and economic activities dependent on marine resources. The minister said the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, through its Marine Pollution Control Board, was already implementing measures to address the issue and proposed a joint meeting with the Sindh government and relevant provincial departments to develop a comprehensive response. He identified the discharge of untreated sewage into the sea as one of the most serious threats to Pakistan’s marine environment, warning that the continuous release of wastewater was harming mangrove forests, fish habitats, coral ecosystems, and other sensitive coastal resources. Emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation, he said protecting marine ecosystems was essential for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the country’s blue economy. Governor Nehal Hashmi described marine pollution as a growing public health concern, particularly for residents of Karachi’s coastal communities, who face increasing health risks due to contaminated seawater. He stressed the need for stronger coordination among federal, provincial, and local authorities to improve wastewater management and prevent untreated sewage from reaching the sea. The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to strengthen institutional coordination and jointly formulate long-term strategies aimed at reducing marine pollution, preserving coastal ecosystems, and supporting sustainable economic development through a healthier marine environment.

Islamabad High Court orders NCCIA officers

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a detailed written order directing that officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) must not be prevented from carrying out their official duties. The court also maintained its earlier stay order restraining the authorities from taking any disciplinary action against the petitioning employees until further proceedings. The written order was issued by Justice Azam Khan following the hearing of a petition filed by the affected officers. The petitioners, who are contractual employees of the NCCIA, have approached the Islamabad High Court seeking regularization of their employment. They argue that they have been serving the organization for an extended period and should be granted permanent status in accordance with the law. According to the court’s written order, counsel representing the NCCIA authorities requested additional time to submit their formal response to the petition. The court noted that the respondents sought an extension to file their reply before the next hearing. However, the petitioners’ legal representatives strongly opposed the request for further delay. They argued that the respondents had already been given several opportunities to submit their response since the first hearing of the case on February 13. Despite multiple chances, the authorities had failed to place their reply on record within the time provided by the court. The petitioners’ counsel further informed the court that at nearly every hearing, the respondents had sought adjournments on one pretext or another. According to the lawyers, these repeated delays were causing irreparable harm to the petitioners, who continued to face uncertainty regarding their employment and professional responsibilities. Taking note of these submissions, the Islamabad High Court granted the NCCIA authorities one final opportunity to submit their written reply. The court directed that the response must be filed before July 30. The written order clearly states that if the respondents fail to submit their reply by the specified deadline, the court will proceed to decide the case on the basis of the available record without granting any further extensions. The court also made important observations regarding the professional role of the petitioning officers. Justice Azam Khan remarked that it would be unfair to prevent such highly educated and experienced individuals from performing their official duties. The written order emphasized that qualified professionals should not be obstructed from carrying out work assigned to them, particularly while legal proceedings remain pending. Furthermore, the court instructed all concerned parties to ensure that the petitioning officers are allowed to perform their duties strictly in accordance with the law. It directed the respondents not to create any obstacles in the officers’ work or interfere with their lawful responsibilities until the matter is finally decided. In addition, the High Court reaffirmed that the interim stay order protecting the petitioners from disciplinary action will remain in force until the next hearing. This provides temporary legal protection to the employees while the court continues to examine the merits of their petition seeking regularization of service. After issuing these directions, the Islamabad High Court adjourned further proceedings in the case until July 30. The next hearing is expected to determine whether the respondents have complied with the court’s instructions and may also shape the future course of the contractual employees’ plea for permanent employment within the NCCIA.

Kendall Jenner, Jacob Elordi’s latest outing fuels split rumors

Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi’s relationship has become the subject of fresh speculation after the pair were spotted together at a recent Chris Stapleton concert, with their public appearance prompting renewed discussion about their romance. The couple, who have been linked since earlier this year, attended the concert while keeping a relatively low profile. Both opted for casual white T-shirts and stayed near the side of the stage, avoiding unnecessary attention as they enjoyed the event together. Despite their relaxed appearance, a body language expert suggested that the couple’s interactions reflected a noticeable shift in their relationship dynamic. According to the analysis, Jenner appeared less confident than in previous public outings, while Elordi seemed calm and at ease throughout the evening. The expert observed that Jenner’s gestures were more animated and expressive, describing them as attempts to seek attention or reassurance. In contrast, Elordi reportedly displayed a composed and comfortable demeanor, leading to speculation that the balance in their relationship may have changed. Particular attention was drawn to Jenner’s posture during the concert. The expert noted that the model was seen sitting with her legs crossed while holding her ankle, interpreting the pose as a sign of vulnerability or a desire for reassurance. The analysis suggested that adults sometimes adopt childlike body language when they feel emotionally threatened or uncertain, although such interpretations remain subjective and cannot confirm a person’s actual emotions. Another moment highlighted by the expert involved Jenner gesturing toward something while extending her arm across Elordi’s body. This movement was interpreted as a possible sign of protectiveness or a desire to keep her partner close. The expert argued that the interaction reflected a different dynamic from the couple’s earlier public appearances. Based on these observations, the body language specialist suggested that Elordi appeared to hold a more confident position within the relationship, while Jenner seemed to be seeking greater emotional reassurance. However, body language analysis is based on interpretation rather than confirmed fact, and it cannot accurately determine the true state of a relationship. Neither Jenner nor Elordi has publicly addressed the speculation surrounding their romance, and there has been no indication from either of them that their relationship is experiencing difficulties. The couple has generally chosen to keep their personal lives private and has rarely commented on media reports about their relationship. Jenner, one of the world’s most recognizable fashion models and television personalities, has often maintained a low-key approach to dating despite intense public interest in her personal life. Elordi, meanwhile, continues to focus on his acting career, with several high-profile film projects attracting attention in recent months. The pair first sparked romance rumors earlier this year after reportedly meeting through mutual friends, including Justin and Hailey Bieber. Since then, they have been photographed together on several occasions, fueling ongoing interest from fans and entertainment media. While recent body language interpretations have led to renewed breakup speculation, there is currently no official confirmation that Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi are facing problems in their relationship. For now, reports about the couple’s status remain based largely on public appearances and expert opinion rather than statements from the pair themselves.
