Kaia Gerber, Lewis Pullman’s romance reaches maj…

Kaia Gerber and Lewis Pullman are quietly taking their romance to the next level. While the couple has largely stayed out of the spotlight, new reports suggest their relationship has reached a significant milestone, with those closest to them believing it has become more serious than ever.

According to an insider, Gerber and Pullman are “so in love,” and their connection has only deepened since they first sparked dating rumors in early 2025. Although they prefer to keep their relationship private, the source said the romance has been genuine from the very beginning, with both stars choosing to focus on building a strong foundation away from constant public attention.

One of the biggest signs of how serious the relationship has become is the warm welcome Pullman has reportedly received from Gerber’s family. The insider revealed that Kaia’s parents, supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, already see the actor as “part of the family.” Their approval reflects how naturally Pullman has fit into Kaia’s personal life and family circle.

Despite both having demanding careers, the pair are said to make their relationship a priority. Friends describe them as grounded and supportive of one another, adding that they enjoy spending quality time with family rather than chasing the Hollywood spotlight. Their low-key approach has helped the romance flourish without unnecessary pressure.

Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford, has continued balancing a successful modeling career with growing acting opportunities. Pullman, meanwhile, has become one of Hollywood’s rising stars thanks to acclaimed performances and several high-profile projects. Even with busy schedules, sources say the couple has found a healthy balance between work and their personal lives.

The couple has also made a handful of public appearances together over the past year, including outings at the Venice Film Festival and the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. While they rarely discuss their romance in interviews, their public moments have shown a comfortable and affectionate relationship that continues to grow stronger.

According to those close to the pair, there has never been any rush to define the relationship publicly. Instead, Gerber and Pullman have focused on getting to know each other away from the cameras, allowing their bond to develop naturally. That patient approach is said to be one of the reasons their romance has remained so stable.

While neither Kaia Gerber nor Lewis Pullman has commented publicly on the latest reports, insiders believe their relationship is stronger than ever. With family support, shared values and a commitment to keeping their love life private, the couple appears to have found a balance that is rare in Hollywood—proving that sometimes the strongest romances are the ones lived quietly.

Saudi airstrikes on Hodeidah trigger Houthi warning, raising regional tensions

Saudi Arabia’s airstrikes on the Houthi-controlled Yemeni city of Hodeidah have triggered a strong response from the group, with the Houthis warning that the attacks could have serious consequences and further escalate tensions in the region. According to Arab media reports, Houthi officials said Saudi-led forces targeted telecommunications facilities in Hodeidah as well as Kamaran Island. A woman was reportedly injured in the strike on Kamaran Island. Witnesses also reported hearing explosions near Hodeidah port. However, the Saudi-led military coalition denied targeting the port itself. The coalition said its operations were aimed at Houthi military positions in Hodeidah. Hodeidah port is a major commercial and humanitarian gateway for northern Yemen. The port plays an important role in bringing essential goods and humanitarian supplies into areas controlled by the Houthis. The latest strikes followed growing tensions in the Red Sea. Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki had described recent Houthi activities in the area as irresponsible and provocative. He warned that the coalition would take further military action if Houthi attacks continued. The Houthis recently claimed responsibility for attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea. The group said the vessels had violated a naval blockade it had announced against Saudi Arabia. The Houthis declared the blockade on July 20. They described it as a response to an attack on Sanaa International Airport a week earlier. The internationally recognised Yemeni government, which is backed by Saudi Arabia, claimed responsibility for the airport attack. It said the strike was carried out after an Iranian aircraft allegedly arrived at the airport without authorisation. Following the latest escalation, concerns are growing over the impact on commercial shipping and global trade. Two Chinese oil tankers carrying Saudi crude reportedly crossed the Bab el-Mandeb Strait safely despite the heightened tensions. The Red Sea is a crucial international shipping route. It handles a significant share of global container trade and connects major markets between Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Any prolonged disruption to shipping in the Red Sea could increase transportation costs and put further pressure on global supply chains. The situation is particularly sensitive because the Strait of Hormuz is also facing serious disruption amid the wider regional conflict. Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam said the group’s naval blockade does not amount to a complete closure of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. He said the measure is specifically focused on maritime activity linked to Saudi Arabia. According to the Houthi position, the blockade is intended as a response to what the group describes as the continued blockade of Yemen. The latest exchange of airstrikes, threats and attacks on shipping has increased fears that the conflict could spread further across the region.

SBP to maintain focus on price stability, reforms and sustainable economic growth

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor Jameel Ahmad has said the central bank will continue to prioritise price stability, structural reforms and the creation of a business-friendly economic environment aimed at boosting productivity, exports and employment. Addressing a flag-hoisting ceremony held at the SBP headquarters in Karachi to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, Governor Ahmad said the country had made notable progress towards macroeconomic stability over the past year. He attributed the improvement to disciplined fiscal and monetary policies, better economic management and continued efforts to strengthen financial and economic institutions. Inflation remains within medium-term range Speaking about the inflation outlook, the SBP governor said average inflation during fiscal year 2025-26 stood at 7.1 percent. He said the central bank believed that the prevailing monetary policy stance was appropriate for keeping inflation within its medium-term target range of 5 to 7 percent. According to Ahmad, the current policy framework also provides sufficient space for economic activity to continue, while supporting investment and employment generation. The governor said maintaining price stability would remain a central objective of the SBP as Pakistan seeks to move from short-term stabilisation towards sustained economic expansion. Growth expected to strengthen Ahmad said Pakistan’s economy recorded growth of 3.7 percent in FY26, reflecting the impact of improved macroeconomic conditions and greater fiscal and monetary discipline. Looking ahead, he projected economic growth in the range of 3.5 to 4.5 percent during FY27. He described the outlook as encouraging, saying the economy was gradually moving towards a more sustainable growth path after going through a difficult period of economic stabilisation. The governor stressed that maintaining policy discipline would be important to ensure that the gains achieved in recent years translate into durable economic development. Remittances strengthen external position The SBP chief also highlighted improvements in Pakistan’s external sector, particularly the performance of workers’ remittances. He said overseas Pakistanis had demonstrated confidence in the country by sending record amounts of money home, with remittances surpassing $41 billion during FY26. The inflow is expected to increase further, with remittances projected to reach around $44 billion in FY27, according to the governor. Ahmad said stronger remittance inflows, combined with a relatively low current account deficit, had helped improve Pakistan’s foreign exchange position. The country’s foreign exchange reserves reached $18.4 billion by the end of FY26, while the SBP expects reserves to rise above $21 billion during FY27. He said strengthening the external position would help improve economic resilience and provide greater capacity to withstand external shocks. SBP pushes digital transformation The governor also outlined measures taken by the central bank to modernise Pakistan’s financial infrastructure and expand the use of digital payment channels. He pointed to the successful launch of PRISM+, saying the upgraded payment and settlement infrastructure had brought Pakistan’s large-value payment system closer to international standards. The system has improved the speed, security and efficiency of large-value payments and settlements, he said. Ahmad added that SBP initiatives aimed at encouraging digital payments had resulted in a substantial increase in the use of electronic channels. Retail digital transactions increased from approximately 10 billion to 12 billion over the past year, reflecting growing adoption of technology across the financial system. According to the governor, the shift towards digital payments is more than a technological development. It is also contributing to greater documentation, transparency and efficiency within the economy. Self-reliance and institutions vital for progress Governor Ahmad said Pakistan’s long-term economic success would depend not only on financial and monetary policies but also on stronger institutions, economic self-reliance, respect for the rule of law and national unity. He emphasised that the country’s journey towards sustainable development required continued commitment and collective efforts from institutions, businesses and citizens. While acknowledging the progress achieved during the past year, he cautioned that Pakistan continued to face economic challenges that required sustained attention, policy consistency and determination. He said the objective should now be to convert the gains from economic stabilisation into a durable foundation for investment, productivity, exports and employment. The governor reaffirmed that the SBP would continue playing its role in supporting monetary and financial stability while contributing to broader efforts aimed at improving the welfare of the Pakistani people.

Petrol, diesel prices may fall further

Petroleum product prices in Pakistan may see another reduction from August 5, offering potential relief to consumers already facing high fuel costs. According to sources within the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol could decrease by Rs3.39 per litre, while high-speed diesel may become cheaper by Rs4.07 per litre. The latest calculations suggest that the price of petrol could fall to approximately Rs328.56 per litre after the proposed reduction. Similarly, the price of high-speed diesel may come down to an estimated Rs385.86 per litre. OGRA sources said the initial working for the possible price adjustment has been completed. The final decision, however, will depend on the government’s review of the latest calculations and other relevant factors before announcing the new prices. The possible reduction comes shortly after the government announced a cut in petroleum prices. In the previous adjustment, the government reduced the price of petrol by Rs4.08 per litre, while the price of diesel fell by Rs2.45 per litre. If the latest proposed cuts receive approval, consumers could see another decline in fuel prices within a short period. A reduction in petrol prices would directly benefit motorists and households that rely on private vehicles for daily commuting. Lower diesel prices could also provide some relief to the transport sector, as diesel powers a large number of commercial vehicles, buses, trucks and other heavy transport used to move people and goods across the country. A decline in fuel prices may also help reduce pressure on transportation and logistics costs. Since diesel plays a major role in the movement of agricultural produce, industrial goods and essential commodities, any reduction in its price could potentially ease some of the cost burden on businesses and consumers. However, the impact of the proposed reduction on overall inflation will depend on several factors, including transportation costs, exchange rate movements and international oil prices. The government is expected to announce the final petroleum prices after completing its review and approving the new rates. The expected adjustment comes as consumers continue to closely monitor fuel prices because of their direct impact on household budgets and the cost of everyday goods and services. Any further reduction in petrol and diesel prices could provide some short-term financial relief to the public and businesses.

Ariana Grande plans secret project before stepping away

Ariana Grande is reportedly preparing a special surprise for her fans as she gets ready to take a break from public-facing work following her Eternal Sunshine Tour. The 33-year-old singer recently revealed that she plans to step away from the spotlight after completing her current tour. Ariana explained that the decision came after years of dealing with intense and ongoing public scrutiny. She has also withdrawn from the upcoming production of Sunday in the Park with George, with her role expected to be recast. Despite her decision to take a break, Ariana is said to be planning one final project connected to her current tour. Reports suggest that the singer intends to film her London performances and turn them into a special that could allow fans to relive the Eternal Sunshine era. The project would reportedly serve as a lasting memory of her return to the stage. Ariana is believed to have been surprised by how much she enjoyed performing again after previously thinking she might never tour in the future. The special could also become a meaningful gift for her supporters as she takes time away from public life. Ariana has repeatedly expressed her appreciation for the fans who have supported her throughout her career and during her latest musical chapter. Earlier this week, the singer completed the North American leg of her tour and shared an emotional message with her followers. She expressed deep gratitude for the experience and said that the past few months had been incredibly special, joyful and fulfilling. Ariana also assured fans that her decision to step away was not made impulsively or because of negative reactions surrounding her career. During a recent concert, she explained that the hiatus had been part of a plan she had quietly considered for a long time. The pop star emphasized that the decision came from a thoughtful and empowered place rather than from frustration. She also addressed concerns that public criticism or negativity had damaged her enjoyment of performing. According to Ariana, the opposite was true. She made it clear that she has genuinely loved being back on stage and has valued the connection she has shared with her audience throughout the tour. The singer’s decision marks a significant change after years of maintaining a highly visible career in music, film and television. Before the Eternal Sunshine Tour, Ariana’s last major world tour was the Sweetener World Tour in 2019. That tour became a major moment in her career and was later turned into a concert film released on Netflix. Her latest tour has similarly attracted considerable attention, making a filmed London performance a fitting way to preserve the experience. While Ariana has not publicly confirmed details about the reported project, fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether the Eternal Sunshine Tour will receive its own official concert special. For now, Ariana appears focused on completing this chapter of her career before taking the time she feels she needs away from the public eye.
