Operation 90 Days anti-drug crackdown launched in Prachuap
Prachuap Khiri Khan has launched Operation 90 Days, a province-wide anti-drug campaign aimed at intensifying prevention, enforcement and rehabilitation across all eight districts.
Governor Sittichai Sawatsan, who also serves as director of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Centre for Drug Prevention and Suppression, presided over the launch ceremony on 7 July at Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Hall.
The event was attended by deputy governors, district chiefs, provincial officials, security agencies, administrative officers, subdistrict headmen and village leaders.
Before the launch, the governor chaired a meeting at the Singkhon meeting room to brief officials from Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan, Bang Saphan and Thap Sakae on the government’s anti-drug policy and the province’s operational plan.
Operation 90 Days targets all aspects of the drug problem, including prevention, suppression, treatment and rehabilitation. Officials said the work will be carried out in line with government and Ministry of Interior policy, with provincial and district drug prevention and suppression centres leading the campaign nationwide from 1 July to 30 September 2026.

The province has already carried out inspections in targeted villages under its “4 Yor” tactical action plan, with authorities screening areas in all eight districts to identify drug users and dealers.
Officials said the operation includes checks in target subdistricts, the use of existing watch lists, urine testing in targeted communities and the transfer of drug users into treatment and rehabilitation programmes.
Between 12 May and 19 June, officials conducted operations in 75 target villages across the province. A total of 148 drug users were sent for treatment, while 100 people were referred for legal action.
The province said it is preparing to declare victory over drugs on 12 August. So far, 107 villages and communities in 36 subdistricts have been declared drug-free “white” areas.
Following the meeting, the governor released a joint force of administrative officials, soldiers, police, local leaders and related agencies to begin proactive operations across the province.
The campaign focuses on three main areas: strengthening communities, schools and families; suppressing and blocking drug networks; and providing treatment and rehabilitation, with districts serving as the main centres for tackling drug use and addiction.
